This is just a totally blatent attempt to get people to go look at my newly posted article over at Canonfire!

I wanna break the record for the number of reads of an article on the site :D

Go on, read it... never know, you might like it!

There's also three 3rd ed items with a bit of a GH flavour (not much though, admittedly).

Go on, read it... go on... please? I'll pay you...

And while you're there, go to the forums and post about my article... go on... for me? Pretty please?

:D

The pitiful plea of desperation. If it works I might try it. I'll check it out and let you know what I think. But be warned sometimes I can be harsh.

Thanks, I read your comment. 3.5 eh? At least you felt it was worthy of going up to 4 rather than down to 3

The story itself isn't meant to be any great Shakespearean effort and I didn't try and avoid any cliches or anything. It's main purpose was to convey information about my interpretation of the current situation in Rinloru and Winetha, mainly Rinloru for that one.

It's the start of a whole series of articles that will focus on bringing to light what has happened in the last six years since Carl Sargent detailed the two cities in his unpublished manuscript (Ivid the Undying) and tAB/LGG brought the setting up to 591 C.Y.

The ratings system, btw, on the boards is no longer working. You can still vote but soon that will be gone. There were too many people being nasty and voting 1's for articles that just plainly and simply didn't deserve such ratings.

Looking forward to more stories about the twin cities. I get the feeling your more partial towards Rinloru though. Hey I know my campaign is no where near that area, but I like to see someone who is passionate about their output. Keep up the good work.
Oh and just so you know when every body was praiseing Robert Jordan I was the only one to state that his writing had good ideas, but that his stories lag on for too long at certain parts of his books. Believe it or not I had people tell me i didn't know what I was talking about. Now those same people can't believe that they didn't see what I saw since the first book.
Your writing didn't diserve to be brought down to a 3 that's why I went up instead of down.

I know what you mean about Jordan. I came to the same conclusion by the second book but liked the story and concepts enough that I read the third. I read the fourth mainly because someone else bought it (I lent my copies to them and they became hooked) but gave up after that.

I'll try not to bore you with my other stuff

Oh, and hey, feel free to submit your own stuff too!

I think Argon is on to something. Delglath, you are on notice that more than one person would like to see you produce a city write-up for Rinloru. Have you perused the FR Campaign hardcover? It might be useful as a template? Alternately, we might finally see one of those Cities of the Flanaess articles in the LGJ... !

Heh, I'm building up to it. I want to basically introduce certain concepts through the series, one article at a time, alternately for Rinloru then Winetha. This will set the scene and fill in the blanks of the last six years.

After that, I'm thinking of doing some small adventure modules based on those write-ups.

But as for a city map... heh, I'm not sure. If I can rope Denis (aka Mr. City of Greyhawk map which RULES) into helping me, maybe

What I'd also like to do as an aside from that, is a city map of Eastfair! The Ivid manuscript details it as if it had a map but there's no map. It's BEGGING to be done up.

Hey... why aren't we discussing this on the CF forums?

Delglath runs over and starts a new topic...

P.S. If you mean the 2nd edition Forgotten Realms Adventures hardcover, then yeah, I know the city write-ups you're talking about. They were great. Currently that book is my mousepad :D

Delgath write what you feel, don't rush a write up on my part. I would prefer to wait for a quality job insteed of be happy with a subpar piece of work (Most of FR comes to mind). I must say that the FR 2nd edition hardcover book was one of their better products, more so for the maps than anything else.
But to keep up with my last rant, David Gemmell is an ok writer, but what series was really well done was the Shadowrun books by Richard Knaack. I think that was the authors name not sure but the books were well done.
