I remember playing this old Dragonlance 2nd edition adventure way back when, and I'd like to convert it and introduce it to my group as I found it quite fun.

In the adventure, the PCs are given the task of finding who is behind a group of dragon slayers by a good dragon of some sort. The first READ TO CHARACTERS box contains something about the flapping of dragon wings.

The PCs go to a tavern at a certain time and meet two people. There two (I think one was some sort of exotice species) are here to hire more dragon hunters.

There are two groups trying to join up. The PCs, and a band of mercenary folk. I believe one of the members of the mercenary group was a lizardman of some sort.

The two groups enter a sort of dungeon/arena, where the survivors get to join the dragon slayers.

From there they go from locale to locale defeating dragons of different sorts.

Then the get to the operations base and find themselves fighting gnome-robots and a large eye with bat wings from the astral, or some other plane.

If anyone knows what this adventure is, please let me know!

It sounds like the Dragon Dawn trilogy that was released for Taladas, although I could be mistaken.

You're right Primerib ;), the trilogy of adventures you are looking for Herr Doktor are DLA1 Dragon Dawn, DLA2 Dragon Knight and DLA3 Dragon Rest, which takes place on Taladas. They're nice, even though to me they seemed less exciting to play than the DLE serie, but this is only my personal feeling.

Primerib? lol.

They were interesting modules but they didn't feel Dragonlance to me. My copies are packed away somewhere but as I recall the 2nd and 3rd books ended up with the characters going to bizarre planes of existence and the whole thing just didn't work for me.

The best DL adventures I've found (and still use) are from a 1st ed compelation called Mists of Krynn. I'm hoping that the adventures Sovreign Stone release will be more like those than the Dragon Dawn trilogy.
