Looks great! Except for . . . deathblow. Not too sure I fully agree with this one. Granted the save DC is not incredibly high so the success rate of a high lvl jazst against an equal level fighter or gladiator is going to be rather slim. Still, I know I'd be more than miffed in a fight against one that took out my fighter in 2 rounds. Not that its anything different than a spellcaster getting finger of death or anything. I guess I'm complaining but not really complaining. Anyhow, good job. I like it.

No different from the asssassin ability.

Danke though.

Some of these others need some major cleaning up, going to wait till I get my 3.5 books before I go any further I think.

Quite understandable. I'm waiting till 2nd printing since it will have any errata info patched in. Never pick up a first printing, especially from WOTC ;).

/me shrugs

Got to have it, don't feel like using the SRD to run my game and get the projects I need to get done, hehe.

Hopefully there won't be that much errata this time around.

Nyt, do you have the intention to use prestige classes from the class accessory books like Sword & Fist or Masters of the Wild? These books are widly available and used by the gamers, could be viewed as second-line core books. A lot of idea (mostly feats and PrC) is very good stuff in DS as well. Like the Tribal Protector from Sword & Fist. Others could be thematically and mechanicaly transformed a bit, but fit in splendidly, like:
-Halfling Outrider would be Elite Crodlu Cavalry (with no race restriction and some modification).
-Ravager and Fist of Hextor can be elite shock troops in the employ of sorcerer kings
-etc.

(To be honest it's not my idea, I saw it in an unofficial conversion, but I like it very much!)

Any comment?

Eventually, there will be a list of what is good for athas that's in the splat books, as well as other products.

You could feel free to write one up, with the materials that you have.

We cannot use stuff from non-OGC sources. All class accessory books are not OGC, and so athas.org can't use them (and neither can anyone else, for that matter).

Hey Gab,

We can reference them, though, right?

Ex:
We're allowed to say something like: Insectile (from Savage Species) makes a good template for just about any athasian monster.

We're just not allowed to put up anything but stat blocks, right? That's how I understand the situation. Is there a document you can post to the boards that would explain just what we can and can't do? I think we're getting organised to the point where it's going to become necessary. That way, you guys on the senate can just point to the document.

I'm pretty sure (99.9%) that we can reference them, just not reproduce them.

We could make a list of what PrCs from those books can be used in Athas, adding adjusstments to the side and state what source those PrCs came from.

ex: Duelist - change weapon proficiency rapier to weapon proficiency alak

You get the idea.

Yes, you can reference the template. Your example is right on. But you couldn't post a monster that uses the Insectile template, though.

I don't have a document; most of this comes from reading the OGL and d20 licenses, and from emails with Wizards legal department.

I could try to summarize what I've gotten over the last year or so from Wizards into a document, as well as maybe summarizing the OGL. But you should start by reading the OGL and d20 licenses, available at: http://wizards.com/D20/main.asp?x=welcome,3

Basically, if it's not in the SRD, you can only reference it.

Of course, athas.org has a special agreement with Wizards to use Dark Sun IP.
