Well this was the first race I wrote up for my greyhawk campaign. It's not my best work but with each race I do I get better. To view The Dwarves of Oerth just go to www.canonfire.com.
Let me know what you think and what other information you would have liked to see about the Dwarves.

Thank you for your feedback UnderToad. I have another article that I just submitted to Canonfire.com. It should show up on their site sometime next week it's called the Elves of Oerth.
Let me know what you think I'm always looking for some feedback.

Everything under the Every Day Beliefs will be very useful in my game.

I particularly enjoyed the insults (C'mere, no-beard!).

One thing you may want to check out are the Dwurfolk origins detailed in the 2E Greyhawk Player's Guide (pg. 62-63).
They go into some interesting things regarding 2E stats (not to hard to convert to 3E or that revision thing), roleplaying, general appearance, etc...

They detail the holds of Greysmere, Karakast, and Dumadan; three major Dwarven strongholds within the Cairn Hills and Abbor-Alz.

Good material, dated, but still useful.

Jagermeister, once again thanks for the feed back. I have the player's guide to Greyhawk. But I don't like to mess with racial stats to much. The dwarven folk are quite similar everywhere. Their are difference's but if we decide to give different stats to every sub-race then instead of using the sugested optional stats adjustments for the human races we would have Velunian humans, Furyondian Humans, Keolandish humans, etc.
If you want to use the information in the players guide to GH that's fine. I mean I gave different stats to the Elvin sub-races but my reasoning for that was based on their mythology.
Heck I give my player's the option of what adjustments they would like to use for their human characters. But I prefer my method for the dwarves.
Since in my campaign the Keolandish people are modeled after the Scottish while Bissel, the Gran march and the Yeomanry are modeled after the Irish. Dwarven culture has these influences which in my campaign The Ulek states are under dwarven rule and it has greatly influenced the Sheldomar Valley human cultures.
My next article will focus on the Gnomes of Oerth or my version of the Trolls of Oerth no green carrot noses here. I might have to post both at the same time as the gnomes and trolls of Oerth have intertwined histories and focuses on the creation of the Spriggan(once again my version).
Look forward to seeing more of your posts.

I've tried not to incorporate new stats for various sub-races (for many reasons, some of which you stated..."we'd have Furyondian humans..."), but am instead in the process of developing some bonus skills (3E) for the sub-races.

For example, the Suloise barbarians of the Thillonrian Peninsula are considered to have basic knowledge of seamanship and fishing. I've also allowed my players to take a free rank in Swim in addition, so long as they incorporate such into character backstory.

Jagermeister, that's exactly what I do as well. Some subraces like the Rhenne sholud have some seafaring skills, heck even trader barter is a good option. I usally come up with a list of reasonable proficiences for members of a state or race. Then I award bonus proficiencies based on the player's view of their characters.
Sometimes I award certain proficiences for their character to help th Player come up with an idea of his character. Makes sense to me.

Fleshing out the sub-races for roleplaying purposes, or relevant bonus skills, etc... would make for a good Canonfire article, or perhaps one to contribute to techno's new Greyhawk site to get it going. If you want some help doing it, let me know.
