Stemming from the conversation in this thread:

I happen to have a question concerning the upcoming War of the Lance sourcebook.
Since it will probably contain information on all of the dragon highlords (Ariakas, Verminaard, Feal-Thas, Merinsaard, Kitiara, Phair Caron, Lucien, Maldeev, Salah-Khan and Toede ... perhaps even the unnamed one from "A Clockwork Hero", not that that's necessary or anything), will the shifting command of the Wings be explained in some way (since depending on the source some of the highlords get mentioned as the commanders of several different Wings) and in how much detail?

Wasn't the highlord from Clockwork Hero a female who rode a blue dragon? (I think I remember that.) I think I could guess who it was....

I don't remember what color the dragon was, but the highlord dies in the short story, so I have no idea who you might mean.

it always irks me that every single enemy has to be a highlord, or the strongest wizard in the world, or the one single apostate cleric or what have you.

why can't we have conflict between mundane people?

IIRC, I believe her name was Columbine.

Either that, or that was the nickname that she was given by Oster, the Clockwork Hero.

It was just what they called her when they didn't know the real name.

Getting back to the topic, can anyone from Sovereign reveal how the mixed up command structure of the Highlords is going to be managed?

It should be too early for the SP people to say, however, you'll have better luck after GenCon is over and everyone gets back so *another bump* until then.

Sorry guys & gals... we JUST got back from GenCon, drove straight home from Indy to Lake Geneva (well, Williams Bay, anyways, where Margaret & I live ;)), so I'm a bit travel weary... but I'll see if I can't answer a few questions before I collapse...

Basically, right now, we have no idea :D

Product wise, that's still a few projects down the road... I have to finish writing the three adventures, Jamie's gotta get together all the stuff on our products between now & then, so we're trying to focus on the here and now instead of writing down any hard and fast rules for what'll be appearing in the WotL book.

That said, yeah, we're definitely gonna cover the Highlords in detail, but still leave plenty of room for individual DMs to customize other Highlords. I believe that our primary philosophy is gonna be that although the Heroes of the Lance got all the glory, there was still PLENTY of other stuff going on... like Morgan, the ex-Solamnic who managed to create quite a stir in Khur ;) And for Kronin Thistleknot... and for many others to each add their own mark to the WotL! :D

Hey Chris....just a quick thanks for the autographed copy of DLCS.

Two quick questions:
1. Did Age of Mortals ever show to the COn?
2. When can we generally expect to receive copied ordered from AMazon (round about time...I'm not not demanding as to expect a specific day;))

Not a prob ;)

1. It sure did, although it required that we send Jamie on a quest from Indy to Chicago. There, he had to wage a subtle battle against the mighty forces of the Customs Office and fend off the Red Tape which threatened to keep the books held in the Abyss. We were able to have them available by Saturday morning

2. I dunno. Unfortunately, I can't give you any more than that. I know that WotC said it planned on releasing the book after GenCon...but as to exact dates and details, I have no idea o.o;

Red Tape is, btw, a gnomish invention. ;)
