I was just wanting to see who is attending GenCon this year!

From the Whitestone Council will be Matt "Paladin" Haag, Sean "Kipper" Macdonald, Cam Banks, Andre' La Roche, and yours truly. We'll be hanging out off and on at the Sovereign Press booth.

Be sure to say hello to Margaret, Jamie, and Chris, and grab your copies of the DLCS and Age of Mortals books.

Speaking of which, Sov. Press is having some Dragonlance demo games, run by Cam and Andre'.

Plus, there will be a Dragonlance reception on Friday night, where you can meet your favorite DL authors. Plus, I believe there's some sort of DL game demo on Sunday.

Don't forget Tracy Hickman's Killer Breakfast on Friday morning. It has nothing to do with breakfast, and everything to do with death. Watch as Tracy kills off 200+ pre-made characters in 2 hours' time. Bring your bribes, for they may offer you another minute or two of life. Maybe. That is, if Tracy likes them. ;)

Anyway, I hope to see as many of you there as possible. This year is going to be a blast!

I'll see y'all there. I could've sworn there were DL games on Friday or Saturday as well. *shrug*

Will Don be at GenCon this year?

I'll be there, all four days. I checked out the schedule and there's stuff going on every day that I want to attend. Maybe we should set up a meeting time and place.

I believe so, yes. I think there's some big demonstration on Sunday, beyond the demo games on Friday and Saturday.

Chris, can you elaborate?

Will Don be at GenCon this year?

I'm not sure, to be honest.

Would you happen to know what time and location for this one? I know of the book signings scheduled with Tracy and Laura on Friday morning, but beyond that I don't know of any others. Unless you're talking about the "Dragonlance Q&A" seminar that night.

Actually, according to the excel file downloaded from GenCon.com, there are Dragonlance demo games every day of the show. At least 2 each day from what I understand.

Do you know if Richard Knaak will be there? I'd love to have my copies of Huma and Kaz signed.

Same thing as the Q&A seminar.

Yes, there are, but there's something bigger on Sunday morning.

I'm not sure, but I hope so. Knaak is a really nice guy.

This will be my first year at GenCon and I'm really excited about the Dragonlance releases more than anything I think.
I'm also curious to know the hours of the Killer Breakfast and the Reception....for the Breakfast are you provided with a character?
...Don't mind my questions, I'm just looking forward to it and hope to get as much out of Gencon as I can.

Oh, where are the Dragonlance Demos held? And what are the hours of those also?

See you in three days,

Silvan

This is also my first year and I will be there all four days also. I've been looking forward to this for so long that I cannot believe it's this week! My first Killer Breakfast. Can't wait to be able to come home and tell the kids how Tracy killed me.

Then you'll want to make sure you sit towards the front. Last year we sat in the back and Tracy only made it through 100 or so before he had to turn to mass murder to kill off the other 300 or so participants.

I posted this before, but in case anyone missed it, here is a summary of last years Killer Breakfast.

Uhmm.. I think I have an old stick of gum in one of my pouches. I'll be sure to slip it into the languages section for you. So you know where to find it. I sure hope Andre can keep it cool on the return trip.

Stupid work, getting in the way of fun...

Stupid Indianapolis, I can't go. I live in South Dakota and it would take forever (if it was still in Wisconsin it would be no problem).

Remind me to destroy the person who decided to change its location when I fly there next year.

Yeah, but you would have to drive/fly a long distance no matter what, to me it is like friggin' teasing me. Besides, you get Comic Con.

Why can't anyone important come to Mage Con North?

Personally, I am overjoyed that it is in Indy! I've been unable to go for years and this year it's just a half hour drive away! I'm leaving right now to head on my way! I'm so excited! I feel like a little kid going to the mother of all toy stores.
:bounce:
Hopefully you will be able to make it next year.
