Before I go reinventing the wheel, has anyone already built the wagon out there somewhere for one of these dudes?

I hear there are some good things in the most recent edition of Dragon. Also, Sword and Fist had a few PrCs (cavaliers, etc.) that might appeal to you as well. And, of course, there's always Oriental Adventures. Wouldn't be too hard to convert something out of that, I think.

To answer your question directly. No, I've not seen a Knight of Luna PrC posted anywhere. I do however have some thoughts.

For what its worth I believe the Knights of Luna is an organization open to those elves of Celene who have the skills and contacts to contribute to the organizations goals. The group probably would't develop its own teachings as far as abilities are concerened but relies on the individual to contribute.

Several of the members are probably NPC classes. Aristocrats, Commoners, and Experts would be as useful as a Fighter/Wizard in some cases. The Knight of Luna are acting out of discord with the current government. The are providing aid to Celene's llies against Yolonde's rule. Melf Brightflame, the leader of the Knights of Luna does not have a PrC at all. He is simply listed as Wiz14/Ftr4.

I personally have in past campaigns had NPC knight being Spell Swords. The new Eldritch Knight is seemingly the same thing. Generally speaking with the Elven tendancy towards Wizardry, I created an NPC cell including Wizard/Fighters, Wizard/Rogues, and a dedicated Wizard who led the group.

Just my opinion, but making a "cookie cutter" Knight of Luna would weaken there flexibility. Certainly it would make an organization that needs the help of any elf willing turn away those prospects that didn't measure up.

But if you really wan't a Hard Fast representation. Use the Spell Sword or Eldritch Knight. They fit the Elven Nobility profile. And the PrC's are perfect for for elves and thier tendancy toward mingling martial prowess and magic.

Well, the Woodsman has had his say. Hope it helps.

Actually, that's the line I was thinking of following, but the player in question was pushing me for a PrC.

I hadn't given them much tought till now (the party was way over the other side of Nyrond) but after a party-member bought the farm, his player started looking for something new.

She's been reading my LGG and is now rapt in the internal politics of Celene (should have seen her face when she realised that Melf's Acid Arrow was THAT Melf )

Anyhoo, after doing a bit of research of my own, I was thinking Knights of Luna was something of a misnomer, more like "Loosely Affiliated Bunch Of Elves Tired Of Sitting On Their Hands Of Luna".

Still, the Eldritch Knight might be good...

Thanks for the input.
