I almost feel evil. I forgot that there are others out there still waiting for the DLCS. You're going to love it. I am counting down to the other DL accesories. Maybe they will sell some of those early on Weis' website again.

Wow...I'm glad I've got a good friend to help me out. heh heh

Not to mention he can get as many signatures as he can...Margaret, Tracy, Don, Jamie, Chris, and any others of the people listed under "Contributing Authors." Of course, from what I understand there's only going to be about five of them at GenCon this year. Ah well...that's five more than I would have gotten otherwise. heh heh

Sweetness!! :D

But I think it would be in bad taste to sign ones own book, wouldn't it?. heh heh

Anyway, who all was was listed? I knew there was gonna be a list, that's why I wanted DH to get as many of those people to sign the book as well (like Matt, Andre, Cam, himself, and any of the others that he ran into at GenCon...I don't know who else is in there). That front cover is gonna look like a High School year book.

Wow... I'm touched. Me, Terry Doetzel, with my name in a Dragonlance book. Especially since I didn't do anything really worth taking note of.
I haven't even had a personal conversation with any of the authors before the books were finished. Heck, I don't remember talking to them on the mailing lists before the book was finished.

I guess that's a lesson to all of us then. Post to the mailing lists and the message boards often discussing how things work in the dragonlance world, along with new organizations, magical items, adventure seeds, and any other random ideas that pop into your head. Maybe you'll have your name in an upcoming dragonlance book as well!

I look forward to the increase in traffic to the message boards that this little revelation will give.

How is everyone getting their DL books early? I've been waiting years for this...ever since D&D 3 came out and they said they weren't going to do DL. I remember emailing someone and telling them they must bring back the Lance. Who knows, maybe that one email did it all, right? Anyways, anyone know of a place or webiste I can get this book early at? Thanks :D

You can order both books (the DLCS and the Age of Mortals Companion) by going to margaretweis.com . Some people had shipping delays, so you might want to send an email first (which would go to sales@margaretweis.com) if you feel so inclined.

Let's hope not.

No need to be starting up with resurrecting old dead characters...again.

Really, I think Sov Press is above that and wouldn't do such an awful thing.

Well, I for one would not mind a lord soth novel. In the War of Souls, he was having all sorts of revelations. I personally would've liked to see an adventure story/Module about how lord soth reached the mental state by the time we get to the War of Souls Trilogy.

Oh...that's fine. I meant I didn't want Soth to become another Raistlin. (or Tas for that matter)

Yes!

Artha, the hideously fat decaying bloated daughter of Takhisis, vs Lord Soth, the former death knight currently featured as buried scenery in Dargaard!

I don't know if Artha would win. I think she'd spend the whole time whining about Soth not getting up and doing anything. She's such an embarrassment to her poor dead mother.

Cheers,
Cam

Cam, i think the Arthas being refered is that guy from Warcraft 3. Seems like a nice guy at first, but he gets all angsty.

Artha would be funnier. ;)

Took a look at the Warcraft d20 book at GenCon. It's nice and all, but I'm surprised they didn't try to make it full color. The game itself is heavily visual and I've seen the art book, which is lovely, but the black and white interior didn't really do it for me.

I look forward to that rumble.

What is it with Dragonlance fans and artwork? When the first preveiws came out, everyone looked at the artwork of the aurak draconian and the centaur. Nobody besides me even commented on the map, the domains of the dieties, or the table of contents.

I don't care if there isn't pictures at all, as long as there is sufficiently meaty content. That's what I need to actually play the campaign world.

Lord Soth is burried somewhere?

WTF?

He's taken from Ravenloft, being one of the few to escape, a Domain Lord, who actually escapes from Ravenloft - and for what? To be a random corpse? Or is he actually around, able to be used to terrorize my PC's?

For some unholy reason, the local bookstore (books-a-million) can't seem to keep Volume Two of the War of Souls Trilogy on the shelves, and I refuse to read Volume Three until I get a hold of Volume Two.

If they don't get it by the end of next week, I'm ordering it from the 'net.

Dragonlance has in large part been about the fantastic artwork since day one, Terry. Larry Elmore, Clyde Caldwell, Jeff Easley, Keith Parkinson, and others became household names to most gamers of the 80's due to the success of their art, in the calendar, on the book covers, and the modules. It was the first time gaming had that kind of graphic illustration and it's become a hallmark ever since.

It's good that you like the meaty content, but Dragonlance and great art are inseperable.

Cheers,
Cam

So why doesn't WotC just release it ahead of schedule, it is done and has been available in many different places, so why not just put it out, give me a heart attack(at age 18) and make everyone happy.
