If they are truely Vistani, I wouldn't let my players near them even if we were a couple of hundred levels past Epic. Its too dangerous and unbalancing to give that kind of power and knowledge to a player.

Let them play a half-vistani. If a full vistani suffers static burn, that's what they become, as they forget alot, along with their power loss.

Aug 05, 2003 21:53:55 I can't seem to find an ECL for the Vistani anywhere in my Ravenloft materials.

I did however find that the CR for full-blooded Vistani is only 1/2.
I'm not sure how CR correlates to ECL, but I'll try to figure it out and post here once and if I do.

There is no formular describing the connction between CR and ECL, thats one of the big flaws in the CR system. But usually and I ONLY mean Usuallty the CR is Around half of the ECL. (+/- 1,2,3)

Aug 08, 2003 6:29:37 there are systems for determening CR values in DMG and Savage species. Savage Species is of course the most correct one.
basically it is one level pr. monster hit dice + additional level for special abilities, spell abilities, unbalanced ability scores, size, and so on.

In the Vistani chase it is a little bit more conmplex, because their knowlegde concerning the dark powers alone gives them a level adjustment.

Could you post a sample Vistani that we could take a look at?
