Hey guys. I'm just a lurker normally but I thought you guys would like this info. The latest Gametrade Magazine has nothing less then a deep preview of Age of Mortals in it. By deep I mean the stats and writeups for three of the Dragon Overlords. You might want to take a look for it. I dunno how much info I'd be allowed to post as I'm still feeling out copyright rules and all that (And these entries are pretty huge..) But - Malystryx: CR 36, HP: 1504. Yowzer.

I don't need Malystryx's stats. She's dead.

How about Gellidus and Sable? How much will it take to kill them? ;)

Will this be released as an online preview, like they did for the DLCS?.

I'm currently running a 5th age post-WoS campaign and have absolutely no background to go by.
I thought ALL the dragons were slain in the WoS? At least all the Dragon Lords.

I hope they have some sort of dragon hierarchy list in the DLCS so you can navigate this world properly, otherwise it's good for toilet paper

All except for sable and frost.

I understand that the dragon heirarchy is in age of mortals.

DLCS is more of the history of dragonlance, and less of an actual playable campaign.

I vehemently disagree with you here Talinthas. You can run a DL campaign with just the DLCS in post-WoS.

The Age of Mortals and the future Campaign companions will help you run campaigns in specific time periods but you can start playing with just the DLCS. The history of Dragonlance is just one of the 9 chapters of the DLCS.

i dont know.
The DLCS seems more to me the complete essence of dragonlance. A baseline to be built off of.

It seemed more a reference guide than a structured campaign idea thing, much like the FRCS. I couldnt run a game straight out of that either.

Or even DLA.

The DLCS is a great book, no doubt. Even the best dragonlance product released. But there is not enough info to run in a modern setting. its like the book cuts off at 40sc. There isnt nearly the detail i would need to run with. Its hard to explain really. The DLCS is basically what i will turn to when trying to figure out what kender are, or what hte gods act like, etc.

But its not something i could use to start a game in the post wos from scratch. Of course, i may just be a horrible DM.
