Is anyone currently running an online Planescape campaign? If not, I think it might be a good idea for us to all assemble together somewhere and get something started.

That is a superb idea cutter.

But before continuing in this line, we have to think of possible problems.

For example, chances are any online roleplaying groups are going to be formed by people who live in different time-zones, getting all members together, at regular times, could prove a challenge unless everyone involved has a really flexible routines or there is some strange assistance by the fates.

I know that some networks, like Gamesnet, allow commands such as !d 6 or !d 20, so dice rolling wouldn't be a problem anyway.

I would! I was just thinking of that. You know, there are people who run rpg campaigns through message boards, what if we were to try that here, or at least in a chat room.

I would be very excited to play in an online Planescape game.

Yes, but what exactly is it that you, Iegan, have in mind? A forum play (which, even though less spontaneous, can work with a lesser degree of organization and rules, in most casers) or IRC one? (which would need us to time our presence in the specific channel)

Anyway, I would be more than glad to join in such an effort if it comes to fruition.

I would prefer an IRC game, but I would like to play in a sort of loose, "always open" game. Maybe something with a central locale where players can always interact with one another (say, a tavern/inn in Sigil). Then, on specific adventure nights, those characters could assemble for forays into greater Sigil and the planes in general. That way, people who can't make the adventure nights can at least have some fun interacting and playing some interesting characters.

Any takers?

I still say the Real DnD Adventures forum would be the best option.z
