hi,

i am a new dm dming a new group and i was wandering if I should get the living greyhawk gazetter for our first campaign setting. this will allow me to see how a world is made and give a basic place for the pcs to play...

also, is the gazetter 3.5e rules compatable, thanks

Yes, the LG gaz is a good book and contains tons of background detail for your world. Its much better than the smaller D&D Gaz produced earlier.

If you can get them, and IIRC they are availible via WotC download, you can more detailed info about key areas from supplements called 'Iuz the evil' 'The Marklands' and the unpublished but free 'Ivid the undying' also the 'City of Greyhawk' is a good one if you want to place your party in the 'gem of the flanaess' where it all pivots IMHO.

Lots of Living Greyhawk regions have really good Gazeteers out too whish may be worth looking at if you are thinking about a specific nation.

Greyhawk downloads available here .

There is also a Greyhawk Links thread somewhere buried on this board, you should dig it up and look over what you see there.

Aha, I found it. click here to take a look.
