In a similar fashion to the 'Dragons in Novels' thread, I am hoping to create a listing of every single major gnome invention ever created (regardless of whether it worked or not). This includes all inventions detailed in novels, accessories and adventures.

I would appreciate that other members try to contribute to this listing as well. Also, please name the source of where that particular invention was mentioned, and any details you feel are relevant to the listing.

I'll start,

"The Great Gnome Ship of Exploration and Questing Made of Wooden Planks Held Together by the Miracle of Gnome Glue Instead of that Paltry Human Invention the Nail Which We Have Designed More Efficiently Anyway and Driven by Steam Created by Bringing Water to a Rapid Boil..." - Kender, Gully Dwarves, and Gnomes - 'Wanna Bet?'.

The problem with this idea, is that for the most part most Gnome inventions have names that take up so much space!! How could we post? LOL just kidding.

The only one that comes completely to mind is the Fact Machine from The Cataclysm, Tales II, "The Cobbler's Son" by Roger E. Moore, which was a gnomish/wizard invention.

Also in that story was a steam powered lawn chair, a railed mass transit system that was tested in Istar (Failed), a water heater, and they also mentioned a great deal of sociological and mental health research.

I'll look some more in Dragon's of Winter Night (lots of Mt. Nevermind stuff)! OH YEAH! And Tales of the Lance - World Book of Ansalon has a bunch of stuff too. I"ll make a list and post later (have to go do some D&D shopping!)

This is certainly an interesting idea.

I think I have a small list of gnomish 'stuff' that I have collected from reading all things gnome. I'll see if I can find it.
