I was just wondering if anyone would like to see the character sketches I've done for my group? I finally got around to get them scanned (they're all pencil drawn) and would love to share them.

I'll start out by posting My wife's Kendar Ranger, Laika Evergood.

Please let me know if I should post the others.

Okay, but be warned, some of the images may appear familiar as I took a lot of inspiration from Lockwood's stuff (he's my great idol :D ) and some of the characters (which I had trouble working out) were based dirtectly on some of his stuff.

One of them is the Half-Ogre Barbarian, Korr.

IMAGE(http://home1.stofanet.dk/arcadia/dnd/images/Korr.jpg)

I used the Ogre mage image from the new 3.5 MM and modified it to fit the Korr character with his equipment and gear.

The next one is Heian, the Elven Rogue of the party. He is more of a spy and intelligence gatherer than actual thief... In fact, he never steals.

Teolin Starbreeze (no connection to the famous Starbreeze from the novels! He just liked the name!) is a Claren-Elian Monk who now works as a travelling merchant. I based him on the halfling monk by Lockwood. (couldn't find anything better for inspiration).

The last PC to grace the gallery is the Minotaur of the party.
Now when I did this sketch, I completely forgot that Minotaurs have extremely Bovine heads, and so I just drew away like a crazy person. I'm currently redoing Tygore's character sketch to fit the minotaur, but I liked this sketch so much that it became the appearance of the Brunnenkai Minotaurs in the Kaledarn Campaign Seting we're currently working on, so don't judge this sketch too harshly as I know it doesn't fit the DL minotaur at all!

And that was all.

I have two NPC's but I'll only post them on extreme request, as they are my own characters.

Cool stuff, Eylwn. Thanks for posting. I'd be happy to see the two NPC's as well.

Cool stuff! Are you going to be doing sketches of the NPCs from your campaign?

You know, we have a fan art section on Dragonlance.com. You should consider submitting your pieces.

Right then.

Here's the last two I've got scanned.
It's the two party NPC's.

The first is Eylwn Highmoon (ME! :D ), a half-elf ranger. He is the type that lives in the wild and makes money guiding caravans and other people safely through the wild. Unlike Tanis, his background is not so sad. His mother was an elven girl from Silvanesti, and his father was a human warrior who fought in the War of the Lance. The two fell in love and settled somewhere in the forests of Solamnia, where Eylwn grew up in the wild nature.

---------------

The other one is Raes, a human bard. He's a lament person who longs for the love of his dead wife. He travels with Eylwn and though not as skilled in dealing with nature, he is swift and agile and is never a burden when they have to rely on stealth, and in the cities he provides a few coin for them through his beautiful but sometimes sad music.

If you want more, you'll have to wait untill I can get them scanned. (I don't have a scanner myself.....yet.)

I submitted my Kendar, Dragonhelm.
Oh my, do you guys have a lot of submission stuff to go through.
Is there any way I can submit all the images at the same time, or do I really have to go through it all for each image?

Nice artwork, Elwyn! If I had the time to get off my designer ass and sketch more, I could post my own work. I illustrated the characters from my Elizabethulhu campaign of 3 years ago, but amazingly enough I never sketched the PCs from my most recent game.

You may also want to remember that "kender" and "kendar" are two different races in Dragonlance. The latter is the subrace of kender from the subterranean realm of Chorane, the former are the ones we're all familiar with.

Cheers,
Cam

kendar...kender....Didn't know that....well....kender it is.....I always thought Kendar was singular, and kender was plural....oh well.

Yuppus, I'd love to draw your character, but as I think I said in one of the earlier posts, I don't have a scanner, so even if I draw it, I can't get it to you.

Hopefully I'll get a scanner for christmas, and then I'll start posting artwork like a frenzied gnome on an invention spree.....or maybe more like a kender mapmaker....

But for now I'm busy drawing some stuff for my Camapign setting (working on a full fold out b/w campaign world map.)
I plan on making a website for the campaign setting when it's done, but that is still a bit off.

cheers

At first when I saw your half-ogre I was bashing my head against the desk trying to figure out where I had seen that picture(or at least the jist of it) at. Then, after reading your posts(me like pictures good) I pieced it together. Good work!!!

Yeah, the first few sketches I did, Korr ended up looking like a benevolent mix between a gorilla and a Jim Henson Muppet.
The 3.5 MM Ogre mage fitted the bill far better, plus he has those human traits in comparison to the standard ogre image.

I know, the images are gone....

That is because I have turned my webspace into a full website.

The images have moved and can now be viewed at my site:

My webite (how original)

The images also got a facelift and I'm hoping to post some fiction as well in the near future.
