I had a few minutes to spare and began writing my Dragonlance campaign, noting to myself what each of my players had chosen to play which quickly lead me to wonder what everyone elses character parties consist of. So I thought I would start this post to see:

To get the ball rolling, my Dragonlance Parties

4th Age Party (Companions of Hisden)
Kaylin -Male Qualinesti Elf Fighter (Archer)
Morganna Sunmarch -Female Human druid/Cleric of Mishakal
Arynn -Male Human bard
Tristan Wyrmsbane -Male Human Knight of the Crown
Sirina -Female Silvanesti Elf Magician
Korath -Male Minotaur Fighter

Age of Mortals Party
Male Human Fighter (Squire)
Female Human Monk of Gilean
Female Kagonesti Druid or Silvanesti Sorceror

Since it's your own home campaign and you can handle this however you like, this is mainly an observation, but you wouldn't normally be capable of being both a druid (who gets power from Chislev, Habbakuk or Zeboim) and a cleric of Mishakal. Also, bards can't cast spells prior to the 5th Age, as their magic is wild magic (similar to that of sorcerers).

Cheers,
Cam

True but our GM at the time (the game ended five years ago) decided that a druid worshipped the 'force of nature' and not a deity. He also determined that a druid's powers were bestowed to them by the Forestmaster and were bound to the forest which the Forestmaster protected (He believed that there was a Forestmaster for each major forest). So after faith in the true gods was restored the druid became a cleric of Mishakal and in a sense a druid also.

The bard however was a modified class that cast no spells but was granted a few other bonuses to compensate the loss. I can't for the life of me remember all the bonuses (I played the Qualinesti Archer at the time and the GM docked us XP if we discussed 'mechanics') but I do recall a bonus to some of his proficiency scores.

All in all I guess like most Dragonlance campaigns the GM tailored it to suit the individuals playing.

I ran a Dragonlance campaign set in the 3rd Age that had this composition:

NE male Dark Silvanesti elf Black Robe Wizard
CN male Gully dwarf Barbarian/Fighter
N male Human Bard/Barbarian/Fighter

That was one messed up campaign!

I'm finally getting to run a game (Yay for me!) So let me bore you with the details.. I only have three of the five players so far...

Lukin - Human Male Monk of Majere
Rougealintha (or something like that) - Qualinesti Red Robed Elf
Telbin Reedwhistle - Kender Sorcerer/Rogue (NPC)
2 more - unknowns

The game is taking place in the current year 422 AC. The over-arching storyline is that this party will stumble across an artifact blessed by Majere and over the course of many adventures will discover its secrets. The artifact snatches the souls of anyone that happen to die in it's vicinity. It's of Hesti creation and keeps giving the owner flashes of a twilight city. The Hesti used it to hold the souls of their ancestors so that they could consult them when they needed wisdom. The artifact end up leading them all over the map and into the Hesti city below the Desolation where they will discover that it's the wrong twilight city. In fact the "twilight city" is within the artifact itself where the souls dwell. I may use that Ghostwalk book that just came out... anyway so they will hopefully free the restless souls that have been trapped there for millennia.

The current adventure is a simple 1st level "get to know you and practice our skills" adventure where the wizard and the monk are looking for some missing cows. (Now THERE's some adventure for you!) The twist here is that the cows are being turned into gully dwarves with a magical arch that an insane druid discovered. It polymorphs humanoids into farm animals (and vice versa). He made a deal with the gullies to work with a band of local wolves to steal the cows and turn them into gully dwarves to increase the size of their clan. This will be the same insane druid they will face in their first real game as an entire party next week.

And of all places to pick I chose Qwermish to run it in. Where? you ask? Qwermish/Estwilde/South Shore along the coast of the New Sea, smack dab in the middle of the continent. I thought it was a great place to begin an adventure because it's surrounded by baddies, yet it gives access to so many different locations. Of course there is NOTHING written about it... so I guess I'll have to develop all the geography info myself. Which isn't a bad thing, heh.

Just started a campaign set 6 months after WotS. Nothing glorious yet, just a trip from Solace to Haven running wares for a Solace merchant one of the PCs is apprenticed to. I unfortunately killed a PC with a CR2 Dire Badger on a random encounter table (hint: when a big, hissing, unknown animal runs under your wagon because you've startled it... don't pick up the wagon and push it back to see what it is.).

Now, because I hate killing PCs so soon into their career I had a Knight of the Skull demonstrating to a collected mass of people in Haven that despite the death of their Goddess, the Knights still wielded divine favor. They proceeded to regenerate someone's lost limb, cured a diseased beggar of his ailment and, of course, true resurrected the PC. (sorry, permanent stat loss 2 hours into a character's life is not fun). The point of this long story is that I explained the Knight's divine magic as stemming from Sargonnas - not knowing who the Knights of Neraka had turned to after the demise of Takhisis. Also, I rationalized the resurrection by making the crowd skeptical and the Knight of the Skull wanting to prove beyond a doubt that he was not simply a talented mystic.

Anyway, everything else I kept in a manner I shouldn't have to back explain come the availability of DLCS. So, the party (Barrel 'O Heal'n)...

Human, Fighter (L1) - Wants to become a Steel Knight.
Human, Druid (L1) - A wanderer; takes his tavern sampling a bit too seriously.
Hylar Dwarf, Priest (L1) - A priest of Reorx; whom I guessed is like Moradin.

... in retrospect, a 5' tall Dire Badger probably shouldn't have been allowed to crawl under a standard horse-pulled cart.

nice topic... ok, here's my group:

Heleval - NG human male ranger 8
Nushin - CG human female ranger 7, barbarian 1
Ramel - N human male wizard (red robes) 5, cleric (lunitari) 3
Shenron - CG human male wizard (white robes) 6, fighter 1, eldritch knight 1
Arthus - LG human male paladin (KoS) 8

quite a complicated campaign, the PCs have dragon blood in their veins, giving them some (minor) abilities of Metallic dragons...
of course, the NPCs group has Chromatic dragons blood... eheheh

The lich-king (fistandantilus reborn) is threatening the world, and the group is (unknowingly) trying to bring back to Krynn the only one capable of defeating Fisty... guess who?

hourglass eyes expected...

I like your campaign idea Kipper. Thats a cool idea.

For my upcoming DL campaign we will have the following classes:

A human mage moving toward WoHS
A Gnome Thief/Wizard moving toward Arcane trickster
A dwarfen cleric of Reorx
A human druid
and one more still undecided, but undoubtedly a fighter type.

Im very big on plot mixing and I will have numerous short one off adventures, but for my overall and very long campaign story arc, the players will be discovering a new 'cult' that is murdering both knights of takhisis and solamnia.

Initially they will just be checking into the disappearances of the knights. As the campaign goes along they will find mysterious figures breaking into old tombs and at the same time also trying to gain entry into the remaining towers of high sorcery for some unknown reason. Again as time moves along they will discover an army amassing, consisting of dead and fallen knights of solamnia and takhisis. Further, they will discover a plot in which dragons are being killed and changed into dracoliches to be used by the army of the dead.

Around this time they will also begin to discover information on the general of the army of undead (possibly legion of bone... I need a better name). They will discover he was once a knight of solamnia but his name has been stricken from all records. With some searching and possibly a visit to Astinus they will learn that he horribly betrayed his brothers in arms during the war of the lance. They will also find out that he served for a short stint in the knights of Takhisis, but left the order (escaping his execution) due to his complete disregard of the 'vision'. He now possesses an undying hatred of both orders of knights, hence, his desire for them to serve him in undeath.

Eventually I envision the players tracking down the source of the problem whom will now be none other than a death knight/Cleric of Chemosh. I want the final battle to, of course, be an mounted dragon battle in which players take on the death knight while he is mounted on a dracolich while a battle rages on around them between the orders of knights and the legion of undead.

Any ideas, twists or suggestions?

what the hell kind of a campaign is that?
*boggles*

my campaign, with its all human troop of a Monk, a Sorceror, and a Rogue/Assassing (with the help of a new dwarven cleric) seems incredibly vanilla in comparison.

I'm starting a DL campaign that consists of a Silvanesti fighter, a Silvanesti wizard, a Kagonesti ranger, a kender rogue... and a minotaur mariner. Needless to say, the party interactions should be fun.

No plot details though, as they occasionally read the board. Heh.

Oh, and I forgot a character that stops by occasionally:

Calandra NG Snifernibiln Priestess of Solinari/Moon Hunter(12/10)

Knowledge(religion) 8 ranks
Must have all spells in Moon Domain on Spell List
Ability to cast 3rd level divine spells
Patron Diety must be related to the moon or lunar energy

Moon Hunter is a new prestige class I came up with for clerics that worship moon dieties like the ones in krynn or selune in FR: +1 spellcasting class/level; Moon Terror(bonus to turning/rebuking undead in moonlight); Moon Power(bonus to dc's in moonlight, similar to Red Wizards bonus), Summon Celestial pegasus, extra domain madness, and (sticking my foot in my mouth for all you DL conservatives out there--fine I broke one more damn rule!) natural lycanthropy and feat Improved Control Shape, type changes to shapechanger.

Thanks! I may have to borrow some of your ideas for my game. ;)

Around this time they will also begin to discover information on the general of the army of undead (possibly legion of bone... I need a better name).

EDIT: Here are a few ideas...

Brotherhood of the Cairn
Boneblade Cabal
Spectral Jackals
Bleakriders

Any ideas, twists or suggestions?

Well I was thinking of including an organization called the "Silent Assembly" that is a "pro-sorcery/anti-high sorcery" group of Sorcerers that will figure in one way or another into the plot. I put their headquarters in the Ruins of Pey in the Throtly Gap. Their main goal is to secretly make sure that sorcerers are not being branded as renegades and doing their best to prevent the orders of High Sorcery from reforming. If (well "when" as they believe) it turns into an all out war with the WoHS, they will be ready for it and ready to strike first.

When considering the undead on Krynn... don't forget two very important characters. One is Ausric Kell, the new death Knight of Storm's Keep.

The other (which I am happy to say I am using) is the Ghoul Queen, a minion of Chemosh in the 3rd Dragonwar, the one for whom Waylorn Wyvernsbane is hibernating (presumably again) in order to catch her in the future.

She was a mortal elf during the 3rd dragonwar, but what should she be now? A reincarnated soul? A demon? I don't want to use a lich or some other undead, too bland.

Also, don't forget the Witchlin, the coolest undead on Krynn... IMO of course.

Please Check out Terrors of the Dead Lands one www.athas.org. yes, technically this is Dark Sun undead material, but it has some of the coolest undead stuff I have every seen in any publication. Period. And it is very nicely presented. Some really powerful undead that blow liches away. I brought this stuff into my campaign through They Demion, a 15000 year old 80th level Irda necromancer that had spent 10000 years on Athas(and other planes) then came back to Krynn(I have Athas moving faster in time than Krynn, only like 1000 years went by on Krynn). He traded these secrets to Chemosh, who lusted after the powers of these new undead. Enjoy.
