I'm hoping that maybe someday, Hollywood would make a Ravenloft movie. It should come with a nice script, great actors and SERIOUS not kid stuff, not like the "D&D Movie" which is a big disappointment. What do you guys think?

Actually, over at Shadows of the Kargatane, we've already voted on who we want in the various roles. Just go to http://kargatane.com/sotk/survey/castingcall.html .

I'd love to see a Masque of the Red Death movie. Given the success of other horror movies in the genere (starting with Dracula and moving forward to Brotherhood of the Wolf) I think it has a lot of potential and requires a smaller jump for mainstream audiences (and possibly a better commercial outlook).

There's a guy called Victor Long who wrote a great MotRD mod for the Living Death Campaign that sends the happless (low level) heros to Leesburg VA (ie. the sticks, or the middle of nowhere) to track down a vampire bent on revenge against an old ally. The PCs are doing the leg work...more experinced slayers are on the way if the PCs can't find the lair and stake the villian by day. PCS are brought in a girl who has noticed people acting oddly and believes the results to be the product of a vampire dominating the townies. The PCs are advised to be uber cautious and hole up at night.

In reality the town is undergoing an assault from a doppleganger plant and the PCs have been summoned by a girl who think that all the people acting oddly are being dominated by the vampire. The longer the PCS stick around the more people are replaced with podlings.

The red herring pretty much guarranties that the PCs have a genuine moment of horror when they realize whats really going on...and that some of their allies are actually villians.
