Those who took the plunge into SAGA seem to almost universally praise both the Bestiary and the Palanthas accessories. Are there any others worth noting? I ask because there's a comic store nearby that still has a number of SAGA products in stock and I was thinking of picking some up. Thanks.

Wings of Fury was cool, it had tons and tons of background information on Krynn's dragons throughout multiple Ages, as well as describing the Dragon Isles in great detail.

If you liked the SAGA system (and I have to admit that I did) then I thought most of the stuff was really quite good with the exception of some of the Heroes of Defiance material (hidden roles or whatever they called them just didn't sit right with me)...

Personally was a fan of the Fighters supplement (Heroes of Steel I think) -Gotta love the Knight of the Lilly!

heroes of defiance does a wonderful job with northern ergoth, the sylvan veil is the best and only elven source we have, and its damned good.
Rise of the Titans is hands down one of the best source books ever for the setting.
really, all of the products are good, but Bestiary and Palanthas just own hardcore.

Agreed with Talinthas. They're all great value for all DL fans (I never played SAGA or in the 5A beyond a few test sessions and I still bought all SAGA/5A products).

Top of my 5A list is The Bestiary, followed by Palanthas. Rise of the Titans is slightly better than The Sylvan Veil IMO.

As for the rest, they're all above average even if the 5A Main Boxed set is lacking for the campaign base. Last Tower: Legacy of Raistlin and Citadel of Light are my favourites of the 5A boxed sets since they are more focused while the other five cover large expanses of Ansalon.

You might want to get the first two. I think they're essential. The next two are very good and highly recommended. The third pair is good for condensed information on the respective organizations.

I'd only recommend the other five and main boxed set if you intend to actually play SAGA.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll see about picking up The Bestiary, Palanthas, Rise of the Titans, and The Sylvan Veil.

My favorites were Heroes of Steel, Heroes of Defiance, Heroes of Sorcery, Heroes of Hope, and Citadel of Light. I thought the Heroes series was great in that they helped with character development. Tons of roles to choose from in there.
