Aug 21, 2003 12:31:38 I'm solliciting artwork from anyone who's interested: I need an image of the bird detailed on p.132 of The Verdant Passage: the raakle.

I've never seen it detailed anywhere other than the book, so this is your chance to use your imagination!

Aug 21, 2003 14:05:48 I am really only good at drawing profiles (2D images). Try looking up paleolithic art. If you find a good image, it should be ok to use as long as you are not making money off of it. I usually use ancient creatures in my worlds.

Since we are on the topic of animal art, here is one I made for my Edge of Athas Region. It is basically a herbivore reptile that lives in the jungle. It is about the size of a Mekillot.

I'd prefer to use an original image; after all, this is someone's chance to define what a DS monster looks like!

Aug 21, 2003 17:09:38 Wish I could draw... well draw fast. takes me ages to get something done (and for the most part, I just mess around with pre-existing images in a program like GIMP or Photoshop, making GUI's and whatnot). I've toye a little with 3d graphics, but that's even slower.

Aug 24, 2003 22:54:47 Gab, try soliciting on the artist section of the message boards. There's quite a few talented gems that hang out there that would love to help out, if nothing else but to fill their portfolio's or expand their ability to customize an image based on suggestions.
