Aug 25, 2003 9:50:26 I'm a bit lost at the moment.

Why is it that Dalamar has "spells known," but all his levels are in Wizard and Wizard of High Sorcery? It also goes on to say that Dalamar has access to all the spells from the PHB with a few exceptions.

What's the deal-ie-o?

That should read "Wizard Spells Prepared", not "Spells Known."

Then why is it such a small list, when two sentences later it says Dalamar has access to all the PHB spells.

Oh...wait...it's a "Here's Dalamar's NPC stats...here's the spells he has memorized today" kinda thing? Why don't they just leave it at, "He has access to all the spells...choose them before the PCs encounter him" sorta thing?

Aug 25, 2003 11:08:43 It's a typical stat block for NPCs. They usually include the character's spellbook (or a travelling spellbook), but in Dalamar's case they boiled it down to "PHB spells".

So you can use him straight from the book and not spend time deciding what ones to take.

All 3rd edition wizard stat blocks have this entry. Often it's "Typical Wizard Spells Prepared", for generic NPC wizards.

He has to leave Nightlund and can't return to the Tower there. He is actually reforming the Orders alongside Jenna. He also seems to want to find the Tower in Wayreth(which I hope he does, as it had the coolest grove).
