Okay, on a personal note I find creating new and interesting campaign or adventure ideas pretty rewarding (though sometimes quite difficult!). Anyway I thought since we had such a creative gaggle of individuals here we could throw around some brainstorming ideas. I know a week or so ago there was a great brainstorm regarding the Tower of High Sorcery of Istar and I thought perhaps to see if lightning can strike twice...

Anyway here were a few ideas I thought of recently:

A great chaos-demon (perhaps the last General of the Chaos God's army) has awoken from his slumber, drawn from his dweomer-sleep by the return of the Gods (perhaps he feeds on the divine energy?). He could call on the forces of Chaos waiting and hiding for it's return or perhaps just individuals (maybe sorcerors and mystics) wishing to destroy the old system of order and establish their own...

Perhaps the characters could play the members of a thieves guild in one of the Major cities. Due to the changing of hands of many of the cities during the War of Souls, perhaps the new 'governors' executed the old thieves regime and the characters are either the last few survivors or a new batch of thieves and miscreants (perhaps even resistance members, spies or Legionnaires) trying to eek an unlawful living in the big city...

A great host of Goblins emerge from the nearby mountains in numbers no-one could have guessed led by dark and enigmatic figures and flying the banners of Morgion. The Goblin-King has seen visions of himself raising the lands and crushing them beneath him (perhaps the visions were false, a ruse to hide something more sinnister)...

Chemosh sends one of his followers to animate the dread form of Malys (perhaps in some sort of a middle-fingered dirge to Takhisis). The undead dragon overlord returns to Kendermore to establish a base of power for the worshippers of Chemosh. Kender resistance would be vital and may even lead to a darker form of afflicted kender...

The Silvanesti, bereft of a homeland, have devised an insidious revenge on their would be conquereors from the Mintoaur Isles. Rogue elements of Silvanesti Wizards have decided to try to replace the Great Shield, trapping the Minotaurs within at the terrible cost of their brethren and their lost homeland...

Lord Ausric (the Death Knight from the DLCS) finds a way to leave the isle of Storm Keep to ravage the world in the name of his benefactor. Perhaps he is the puppet of one of the Gods or maybe a new faction pulls his strings...

Perhaps the adventures of a gnomish archaeological team searching for information on Primal sorcery on behalf of the Guild of Magic. Other PCs (non-gnome) could fill the roles of guards or guides. Their adventures could take them searching the ruins of the Towers of High Sorcery and other areas of High danger...

Characters of a party more 'wilderness' inclined may embark on a quest to heal the damages caused by the Dragon Overlords (especially the damage to Goodlund). The information they need may be contained in the captured city of Qualinost, lost in the ruins of Istar or the province of an ancient and elusive druidic dragon...

The characters find a lost flying citadel over a desolate area of Ansalon (or somewhere on Krynn). It seems old and abandoned, a relic from the War of the Lance. Perhaps within lies the hidden tomb of Tahkisis, guarded by a fanatical cult or followers still loyal to the Former Goddess. Perhaps now that she is Mortal (just like Valthonis), a dark bargain has been struck with one of the other Gods (Sargonnas, Chemosh or even Hiddukel seeking to restore the balance -Valthonis lives so why not Tahkisis?) to restore her life...

Just a few ideas. I encourage everyone to add to the above, recriminate or submit more ideas...
