It wouldn't happen, as the forces of good wouldn't do something as heinous as to mess with dragon eggs, even if they belong to evil dragons.

Why are you assuming good would do that? EVIL would do that! They do things like that to each other all the time. So yes it could happen. Just get a evil wizard or whatever to steal the eggs of evil dragons and make Draconians out of Evil eggs. Its weird though that Draconians from GOOD Dragon Eggs came out evil so would Draconians from EVIL eggs come out good? Though it is probably the process by which they were created which makes them evil. Its a perversion, its unatural and pretty much evil to take a dragon egg and make it a draconian so of course Draconians made that way come out bad. However the Draconians made the good old fashioned way (nudge nudge wink wink) have a lot more flexibility in alingment.

True, the Good dragons may not stoop so low as to corrupt dragon eggs (I doubt they would even know how to create draconians anyway) but the 'Alien' dragons have shown enough contempt for the Krynnish dragons to quite possibly corrupt chromatic dragon eggs. Possibly Chromatic draconians may make somewhat better troops since many of the chromatic draconians are suited to specific regions where as metallic dragons seem to be divergent on abilities and personalities.

Also from what has been seen in the novels about the great dragon purge, their could have concievably, been a great number of Dragon Eggs for the taking. Perhaps some individual or organisation has been accumulating draconians eggs over the years to mass an army in secret. Hey presto just add magic and here's the troops (I know there is much more to it than that but it's better than recruiting an army)...

I can see white draconian arctic troops, sly green draconian infiltrators, and corruptive druid blacks. Corruption of evil dragons eggs also mean that we could see a new variant of the draconian when Sea Dragon eggs are twisted (The sea draconian -almost as good as a Sahaugin).

Just a few thoughts

How about a chromatic dragon, "helping" a dying man/woman keep on living by creating a good spawn? He would need some life essence, the body and voilâ...

well, if you want, look at some of the noble draconians drawn up by Jamie chambers for the AD&D2 editions. These were draconians from evil dragon eggs, born to do good things.

Dragonspawn, straight from the DLCS, are only from the Chromatic dragons. So maybe that would be the closest to a Chromatic Draconian.

Eh, if we're thinking about chromatic draconians (dragons become men) maybe we should be thinking about metallic dragonspawn (men become dragons).

Dragon Apotheosis anyone?

Yes, yes you did. I don't much care for the dragon spawn thing, because I know that once I introduce them, BOOM, the players want to play one.

Spawn probably r the closest thing to a cromatic draconian but still spawn r not draconians so think about what a cromatic draconian would be like not spawn .

Then lets say the Chromatic Draconians would be copies of the Metallic Draconians in that they would mirror abilities and death throes, colors would be different, and they would be of good alignment.

Just a suggestion, Dalmor: At present, your sig is about 20+ lines of quotes and your actual posts are only a sentence or two. You might want to consider ditching the excess sig content in favor of just one.

Cheers,

In a DL Campaign I did, I had a bunch of Red Robe Wizards and Red Robe Clerics of Sirrion and Shinare attempted, during the War of the Lance to create cromatic Draconians by drawing on the essence of the world as the God's had created Dragons. They figured they couldn't create Dragons, but they could create Draconians (a magical product) and they would do so to restore the balance. Each one was either True, Lawful, or Chaotic Neutral, and had a tendancy to be dedicated to nature. They even had two sexes for reproduction.

If I can find the stats I wrote up for them I'll post them but in general:

Red Draconians were Lawful Neutral, and tended to be Clerics. They had a few clerical spells, like summon dust devil, entangle, etc. I'll have to adjust these of course, but that was basically what they were like. Had a fire breath weapon of course. Died in a big ball of flame. Couldn't fly, but most human looking.

Blue Draconians tended to be wizards of the Red Robes, had a lightning breath weapon, could fly, and cast darkness, but had no death throws, it just faded away in a cloud of darkness and fog. (which did make it hard to see)

Green Draconians had poison gas breathe, but tended to be druids, tending to the forests and lands. Many became followers of Chislev. They could fly, and also had a wildshape like ability. Another cloud type dissolve when killed. Poison cloud though.

Black Draconians tended to be fighters, thieves, etc. A few became Wizards of the Red Robes. They spit acid, couldn't fly very well (only glide) were naturally ferocious fighters, really good natural swimmers. Turned into a pool of acid when killed.

White Draconians were usually archers, scouts, etc. Great dexterity, but usually not enough intelligence or wisdom to make good spell casters. However, they were completely immune to cold. They can fly very well, however. Excellent manuverability. Turn to stone when they die (cause they "freeze" get it? I thought it was clever at the time).

I had one player actually play one who really desperately wanted to be a kender, not a White Draconian. he was CN, and always felt bad when townspeople threw rotten food at him so he got horse hair and put it on a helmet (now where did we get THAT idea?! ) and bundled himself up in robes. He said he was a Kender bard. People still threw stuff at him.
