Is it my mystake or the kender race doesn't have the bônus with thwron weapons and slings?
Is it my impression or the standard halfling is better than kender (on rules)?

it works better if you don't compare kender and halflings. there will never be a situation where they will run into each other in the course of a campaign, so balancing them is a waste of time.

i agree with you, but both are D&D races, so they have to have the same level of power or something is wrong, right? And the bonus with slings an thwron weapons for kender it's a old thing and i'm missing it.
Another thing, i think that DLCS should have the equipment. For example, i wanna play a kender and i don't have a example of 3.5 D&D hoopak. And now? I should buy another book of 40 dolars?
That's not a good thing...

Half orcs are also a D&D race. that doesnt mean they need an analog in dragonlance.
as for equipment, its coming with the DM screen.

I know this is not about the topic, but where you guys upset when 3rd Edition D&D came out and halflins suddenly turn into kenders with common sense? I miss the J.R.R Tolkein's hairy-feet, lazy-thieving-good-for-nothing-rascals.

In my home game I am giving kender a free weapon exotic proficiency with hoopak and I am giving them the Improved Taunt Feat from the Age of Mortals. I think this puts them more "on par" with the halfling.

Look here for 3.5 Hoopak Stats

Unless, of course, you're running a Spelljammer campaign. ;)

Now there is a game that needs to be rereleased into 3.5ed.

There was a 3e Spelljammer mini-game released in the pages of Polyhedron magazine several issues back. While not a conversion of the old setting, it gives you enough basics to get started.

Check out the official Spelljammer website:

hey, kipper, 2 questions for u:
1) Did u do the hoopak 3.5? It's great! Thanks! ;) There are another kenders weapons in your web page?
2) What the improved taunt feat does?
Thanks!

Yeah, I for one miss the other kender weapons. Hatchak all the way, baby. Are those going to be released at some point?

Well, kender are totally immune to all types of fear and halflings by comparison only receive a +2 to fear saves. That does tend to be a balancing factor. Kender also can use Sleight of Hand and Open Lock as though they were trained in them, halflings get no similar ability. Whether this balances them out is very subjective ... but I'll take a kender over a halfling any day. Besides, the 3rd edition halfling is just a kender wannabe. I mean, come on, the MM picture of a halfling shows him with a topknot! ;)

Well, itharanos, i think you are right. Immunity to fear it's a great habilitie, but i miss the bonus with thrown weapons and slings. Seems to me something natural for a kender this bonus (not just the bonus for being small).
What do u think? ;)
Giving the bonus is too much?

If it makes your kender players happy, then go ahead and give it to them. A +1 to hit with thrown weapons and slings isn't going to outbalance the kender. Or you could even go with just limiting the +1 to hit when using a hoopak for ranged attacks.

speaking of hoopak, the rules for DL equipment will be in the Age of Mortals book? I see in dragonlan.com speaking of that, but i didn't like it. Another 40 dolars for the basic rules to play in the world and probably it will be not enough material.
