If a Cleric is LN but worships Sargonnas (the world despises him due to his half-ogre race and so he ahs turned to Sargonnas).

The Half-ogre lives his life and deals with others with honor but he still follows the Horned god. How would others in the world and wordly organizations view him?

Unfortunately this is the god that seems to fit my cleric domain wise and thus in essence. So what do you think?

Probably with suspicion. Minotaurs and the like would have little problem with the ogre of course (they worship him as Sargas), but I think that even if he was honorable and forthright, many individuals may feel he was hiding some ulterior motive.

I think that the WoHS should be more accepting considering they allow both neurtral and evil elements into their Order so understand that everything is not so black and white.

Also I think most clerics will fall into two camps, the first being those zealots that totally hate the evil Sargonnas deity and thus the half ogre (the divine instrument) or they will be enlightened enough to realise the balance there is between the pantheons and without the evil of Sargonnas to counter Mishakal's light the balance would be lost.

Just a thought or two plucked from the nebulous regions of my mind

Haha, some good thoughts there. I think the charachter will be a renegade Brute and that prolly won't help matters much in the eyes of the goodly races of the world either.

Bah. here's part of how I would play a cleric of Sargonnas. You see, Evil, has always been attacked by paladine and the do-gooder gods instead of really showing you the true strength of the dark pantheon.

In a stagnant, law bound society, the citizens are weakened by their dependency upon another. that's the shameful part of the Light pantheon and how they behave. They coddle the weak. They bring mercy to the Innocent.

Look at that prisoner there? He's killed women and Children. Brutally mutilated and violated them in unspeakable ways. Ten? Twenty? But under Kiri-Jolith's laws, We must repect "justice" and the law, which says no killing. Those guilty under the law are jailed, where they get free food, and shelter. while hard working people starve for lack of food, and freeze to death under their bare roofs? Is that justice? It is justice that a murderer, and repeat offender gets a better life in prison than you? He deserves death. He deserves a painful death to pay for the painful deaths of those he's killed. My god, Sargonnas, teaches that the Justice must be served above the law. The law cannot be followed in good conscience, when it fails to bring justice. That killer must be killed. Follow my god, and he will show you a better path then Kiri-Jolith's weak concepts of mercy.

That's how i would play a cleric of Sargonnas. His words are seductive, and rings true to people who want to hear it. :-)

As a cleric, I'd preach to others on why my god is better than the others. Sargonnas touches the heart of anyone who wants revenge because justice and the laws of men has failed him. That's a lot more than most people would want to admit. That cleric of your might find haven with a relative of one of the murder victims. There might be more sympathizers than you think. :-)

Wow, that statement has turned me and my game is in 2 hours (I just got up out if bed, hehe). Thats exactly how i see sargonnas and as half-Ogre who feels that he has been unjustly treated his whole life (that he has tried to live well and with honor) it titally fits.

Thanks for you rightous views of the Horned god!

Nehk-Var, half Ogre Cleric of Sargonnas

PS
Im keeping the Hald-ogres as they appear in savage species on Krynn cause Im just not happy with the Krynn version, hehe.
