For the life of me I can't find in the DLCS how to convert prices from the PHB to Dragonlance currency.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

simple. 1 phb gold = 1 dlcs steel.

Alright this is exactly as it was in other versions of DL. Good!

Now the tricky part...

on of my fellow players wants to buy a masterwork bronze breatplate from the Arms & Equipment guide. The AEG prices it at the same 350 gp as a steel breastplate in the PHB.

Now being that DL's currency is based on the usefulness of the metal. It doesn't seem right to charge with 350 steel for a bronze breastplate. So would you agree that it's fair to charge the player half the steel price for an item since 2 bronze are equal to 1 steel piece?

It doesn't necessarily imply from the currency exchange that bronze items are half as expensive as steel ones. I agree that they probably wouldn't be the same price, though. Is there a difference in what the bronze breastplate provides? Typically, those are normally found in settings with less advanced technology - if Krynn's blacksmiths are making steel plate armor, they wouldn't be making bronze plate.

Per the DMG, bronze armor has one less AC bonus but has one higher minimum Dex value. Those two traits may balance things out somewhat in terms of cost, but I would think that you could reasonably expect a bronze breastplate to cost anywhere from 25 to 50 steel pieces less than a steel one.

Cheers,
