I just got my book today, and for a long time I have seen people whining about the missing index from the DLCS.

So imagine my surprise when I open the book and the first thing I see is....The Index.

Maybe the first two pages are missing from every copy but mine or people never bothered to look in the front of the book, but believe me...there is an index!

So I'd just like to know how the missing index became such a big topic when it isn't missing at all.

What you are reading is the "Table of Contents," which always appears in the FRONT of any book. The "Index," is always located in the REAR of a book. Granted the table of contents for the book is pretty concise, it still doesn't make up for the lack of an index. For example, what if I wanted to find any instances of the word: Paladine. To which pages would I turn?

Technically, it's a Table of Contents. An index would be alphabetical.

For those interested in an index, the Whitestone Council is working on it. Same with Age of Mortals.

More on this when more info becomes available.

Ah, ok. Now I get it. Though I'd have to say that with the relatively easy build up of the book, I can't say I miss an index all that much. It is something different with PHB where you need to look up specific rules half the time, but yes, I get it now.

Like I said....a short topic :D
