I have a question for all those experts on the dragonlance stories. What are the noble families in Dragonlance? Are there any actual names of nobility, or will we need to make them up for the noble class?

Well, most of your notable Solamnic families are "noble" like Brightblade, Crowngaard, di Caela, etc. There's the noble family of Haven that runs the joint. Your big port cities are going to have Merchant Nobles. The dwarves and elves absolutely have noble families. Even the ogres and minotaurs have nobles. Really...the only races that probably don't have any nobles what-so-ever are kender and gnomes.

So...I'd say so long as you give your noble attiquate background info...you can pretty much have them be whoever you want.

Kender have a noble "family"! the Windseeds of Hylo. The Windseeds ran the "Dynasty" of Hylo on and off for a number of generations, until Belladonna so rudely kicked them out of power. Now they spend their time in one of their summer houses sulking. :D
