Alright, my KoS is a Minotaur. Please don't tell me that a Minotaur can't be a KoS cause this guy will be,hehe.

Karn will have a very hard time being accepted by his fellow Knights and that will be half the fun for my role playing.

Im trying to plot a level advancement for him as well as for his feats. This is what I've come up with so far for a lvl 20 charachter so please add your thoughts about the progression.

Just a side note. I will not be starting as a Kos or at a high lvl. Im just tryingto plot out my future feat progression.

Minotaur racial lvls 3/ cleric lvls 4/ KoC 1/ KoS 10/ Cleric lvls +2

For feats I have
lvl 1) endurance
lvl 2) scent (free for Minotaur lvls)
lvl 3) honor bound
lvl 4) weapon focus (free with war domain)--lvl 1 cleric
lvl 6) diehard

now a KoC at lvl 8

lvl 9) power attack--now a KoS
lvl 12) extend spell
lvl 15) persistant spell
lvl 18) cleave or improved critical

I would get improved critical much earlier. Your playing a minotaur might as well make him sick from the beginning.

I am assuming that you want nothing to do with a KoR, so that puts your effective clerical casting level at 14th. Are the levels in Minotaur (racial classes) really necessary? Why not use those for more clerical levels and maybe a level in fighter, just for the attack bonus. This is what I would suggest, which would result in raising your clerical caster level to 17th. Sure, you wont get spells past 4th level (because of the KoS restrictions) but they would be more powerful.

Well the Minotaur lvls add 2 to both my str and con. They also add 1 to my attack with my horns and my NA.

At lvl 20 my caster lvl would be 16 as it is. 6 lvls as a Cleric/ 10 lvls as a KoS then the loss of 4 due to 3 for minotaur and 1 for KoC.

Kal what did you mean by "you wont get spells past 4th level because of the KoS restrictions"?

I don't have the DLCS in front of me, but if I remember the KoS and the KoR correctly, and would be happy to post the info when I get home or if someone else would like to correct me, the DLCS has a caster table of spell levels for the KoS and the KoR. And from what sticks in my memory, they do not go past level four spells. I will check on this so I can hit myself if I am wrong.

As far as I understand it, the Racial Level is a Houserule class created by Dragonhelm.

Knights of the Crown and Rose don't have separate spell tables like paladins. They have effective caster level progression (adding the levels of the PrC to the levels of the cleric to determine number of spells per day etc.)

Cheers,

"Racial level" is based on monster advancement present in a number of books: the DMG, MM, and Savage Species

I figured out where I was getting it from. I was mixing up a suppliment that I had and the DLCS.
