Hi good people,

I was having a look through the DLCS and saw a reference to Sligs but can't find them in the Monster Manuals.

Doing a quick search on the net I found this link:

http://www.crimsonsun.org/html/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=103

In the same google search though I also found a listing that their are different kinds of Sligs between campaign settings.

http://www.wcug.wwu.edu/~randyman/ROLEPLAY/creatures/monsterindex.htm

Is their a current WoTC reference I could look up?

Sligs are distant cousins of the goblinoid races. Their stats where given in the 2nd Edition Dragonlance Monster Manual and Tales of the Lance. They kinda have like a rocky hide and they excel at setting up traps.

I believe they were first introduced in Tanis the Shadow Years.

They were introduced even earlier than that. Sligs are reptilian cousins of the goblinoid races, known for their skill at setting traps and ambushing their prey. Sligs first appeared in DL12 Dragons of Faith, like a lot of other now-iconic Dragonlance monsters.

Cheers,
Cam

How about Kelpies, in White Plume Dragon? Not DL, I know, but I love how you can look at all the old 1e stuff, and find exactly where a now Standard monster/creature started.
