If SovPress ever realeases a sourcebook of this type (and I really hope that they do), what would you like to see in it? I don't think that any of the god books done so far have been done right (although The Book of the Righteous by Green Ronin is very good). To be perfect for me the sourcebook should include:

-More details on the Gods: myths and legends, how they get along with each other

-Details on the churches: location and map of the head temple, map of a typical temple, church hierarchy, details on religious holidays and rituals, some prayers

-Specialty prestige classes for followers of the gods (ie specialty priests and holy warriors)

-New feats

-Info on how celestials, demons and devils fit in with the gods of Krynn

What I don't need to see:

-Godly stats. I'm never going to fight the gods so I don't want another "Deity Manual"

I agree with everything there. And there was an upcoming product list and Holy Order of the Stars book was on that list...

I want to see how the gods appear to different peoples throughout Krynn. For example, Paladine has appeared as E'li, the platinum dragon, and Fizban amongst others. How do each of the races and nations perceive the gods? And so on and so forth.

I'd like to see a PrC for a cleric of each god, along the lines of the ones presented in FR Faiths & Pantheons.

I would love to see this book as long as they remember to put in the Taldas stuff. There are some gods that (according to the 2e-add taladas) that were not even recogonized by the people of taldas. I would like to know how these gods (the ignored ones) saw the people of taladas.

I'd have nothing against those. They wouldn't be truly necessary, more like a nice bonus.

They needn't even be full stats, just their class levels and such.

I'd love to have the gods of magic nuke it out in a massive mage duel.

As long as that didn't get too much space. Paladine is paladine after all.

I'm hoping for details on how the respective faiths operate, their dogma explained more fully, the plans for the individual gods...etc.

And don't forget to include Paladine and Takhisis for those whose campaigns are set pre-Age of Mortals or in which the gods never left.

As for PrC's... I'm not sure that each god should get a PrC. Theres a lot of gods and we don't want a flood of new classes. Stick to specific ones such as Plaguebearer (Morgion), Necronomist (Chemosh), Champion of Light (any good), Dragon Priest (Paladine or Takhisis)...etc. Other than a few like that, I think a Holy Order of the Stars class would surfice.

I'd like to see PrC's as well as titles for clergy as they gain ranks in the church.

It would be nice to see the PrC for a revered son or daughter of Paladine.

Personally, I just want to see religions that are not based on Judeo-Christian congregationalism. It works for Paladine or Takhisis, but not every religion needs to be about ritual and communal worship.

Perhaps Kiri-Jolith is honoured by doing drill and war exercises, and studying the virtues of just warfare. Perhaps Zivilyn's clerics run around with Burka's proclaiming prophecies on street corners.

A little variety though, please. Don't do what FR did in that case.
