This question came up in our local group, and I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me some definitive answers as to the practice of slavery across Krynn at or around the Age of Mortals?

He was looking at a possible character which had been liberated from or ran away from slavers, etc.

I've heard it referenced in the past that Minotaurs use slaves for their ships. Probably for other stuff, too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Ogres used slave labor as well. Maybe some humans, but I can't think of any communities offhand.

Hope that helps a little.

Neraka would use slaves as well I'm sure. Usually these come from "outlander and prisoner" stock rather than force slavery of Nerakan citzens.

Of course you always have the oppressed kagonesti, both the silvinesti and qualinesti use their wilder cousins as servants and many free kagonesti see this as a form of slavery. The elves are just nicer about it. And of course with both elven nations effectively collapsing then all the "slaves" would be freed (sorta).

Fenalysten (one of the lesser dragon overlords) used/uses dwarven slaves to expand his mountain home...

if I'm not mistaken, in Dhamon Saga they go to a town in sable's territory where they have lots of slaves for sale, both humanoids and animals

There may yet be Kagonesti "slaves" in the Silvanesti and Qualinesti lands in the southernmost part of Southern Ergoth.

Yep.

I've toyed with the idea, in fan fiction, in the past, of brigands involved in localized slave trade and such.

Otherwise, it's probably more common for the Overlords and ogres.
