#2 banshee Oct 04, 2003 11:32:29	Dimernesti, the shoal elves, can't go very deep. I'm basing these figures off of the book "Of Ships and the Sea" the old 2nd Ed. naval supplement....awesome book. Aquatic elves are listed as being able to go down to 350' before starting to take damage. Interestingly, humans, if they could breath, can reach 400' Dargonesti can go deeper. They can turn into dolphins, and dolphins can go about 700' down. We know they live in areas near settlements of Mermen and Tritons, as well as Koalinths....and those all have maximum depths of 1100-1200' underwater....so they're probably somewhat similar. Probably about 700-900'. Interestingly, the Mahkwahb, the Dargonesti dark elves, have located a trench that is really deep....."Otherlands" claims they live 10 miles down! Either that's an exaggeration, or Takhisis or Zeboim modified them to withstand the crushing pressures of the deepest reaches of the planet. Banshee
