Has anyone on the ps3e team converted old "Lu" over yet? She was the shop keeper of Tivuum's Antiquities and an Incantifer. I don't remember if she was written into the Dead Book in Faction War, but I'm thinking of using her as one of the Main NPC's in my new PS campaign.

What would an incantifer be in 3E? Some sort of magic draining Lich or Vampire? I think it'd definitely be some sort of template.

My campaign idea is to have Lu hire the PC's to compete with an Evil Cleric (someone interested in lost souls) in finding a magic vessel which will collect the souls and convert them into some sort of power source for some evil ritual, yada-yada... still in the planning stages. Said cleric will have Reave goons and ties to Tso slavers in Torch or Rigus. Maybe one of the spirits of the Generals in Rigus wants a new body? Maybe it's some 'Loth plot?

What do ya think?

Hmm... if anyone has directly it'd be me. I'm honestly not sure if I did or didn't. I can check the Sigil draft later today when I get home and see if I gave her mention. I'm certain I did, though I'm not sure if I gave old Lu stats or not.

If I didn't I certainly don't have reason not to go back and add anything I overlooked if it's important enough an oversight, or if folks want something added.

There's not, as far as I know, going to be a full writeup on that sect in particular. So I may need to go back and revise a few things.

She survived the war, I'll say that. Though what she's up to, or if she stayed in Sigil after the end of the war in the same capacity, is up in the air.

*ponders* Again, I'm certain I made mention of her and her shop. But the draft is freaking long and I don't recall everything in there, even if I wrote it. :P

I'll check and let you know if I did or didn't. And if not, well, it can be added. :D

I'd try to convert the Incantifers but I just moved and all my PS material is in boxes still. While not vitally important, I'm looking forward to seeing the conversion of most of the interesting monsters. The minor sects (Incantifers, Merkhants, Children of the Vine, Chameleons, Dispossessed, Wylders, etc.) don't really need a full write up, but if they were monsters I'd like to see them (Incantifers, Prolongers, etc).

Ok, looking at the Sigil draft, there's mention of Lu's shop, but not specifically the old tiefling incantifer herself. I'll rectify that.

I have 5-level prestige classes for the Order of the Planes-Militant and the Wylders on my site.

Dabus, why no mention of the Wylder's mask? It's the symbol of the sect and probably what a cutter thinks of first when he hears the word Wylder.

The prestige classes were all originally written for Dragon magazine, and word count was at a premium. Of course, in the end, I had to choose only six prestige classes for the article, so all the ones on the website are what was trimmed.

Oh you're the author of those PrC's, eh? Cool. I found them interesting but a little too limited to sum up the Faction as a whole, but you got PS material published so Kudos to you.

I've always thought the Factions should be treated as an organization, defined through exclusive feats, and maybe a PrC or two (Like the Doomsguard Dust Lords, Mercykiller Justicars, Xaositect Bosses/Big Bosses, Dustman Collectors, etc). When I heard someone mention treating Factions like FR Regions I figured it'd be a great idea. I haven't really been able to check out Planewalker.com, because my home computer is a paperweight and my work's firewall considers it pornagraphic (don't ask me why?).

Those prestige classes were a "quick fix" for when I converted my (now defunct) online Planescape game to 3E. The factions are now, indeed, being treated as organizations with exclusive feats and a collection of prestige classes...a step in the right direction, I agree.

Because the faction feats in the 3E conversion are not bonus feats but must be selected with a character's existing feat slots, I think my prestige classes are a viable choice for those characters that did not start out as faction members. I agree, however, that their representation is limited to just the "basic" interpretation of each faction.
