I thought I would share a quick idea I had for a new sphere for Spelljammer. I'm sure this has been thought of before, but it just seemed like fun to me. Had some of that "goofy 2e feel" to it.

What if there was a sphere that was several miles across? big enough that your ship could get in and move about, but not millions of miles across?

What if that sphere had miniature-sized people in it, flying miniature-sized ships? What if their "giant spacesea hamsters" were actually regular sized hamsters?

And so on and so forth.

Anyway, I know this is goofy, but it just seemed like fun. I could just picture miniature SJ ships flying through the decks of regular-sized ships, with a big giff in pursuit. :D

It sounds very...'Marvel comics-ish'. An interesting idea though, and one I can see has the potential for development.

Maybe you can have the D&D equivalent of the 'Micronaunts'...

Could be interesting.
Lots of cartoons and sci-fi shows have done something with micronization so there is a good precedence for it.
Your few miles across for normal sized ships would be millions to the micro's.
