WotC has a lot of old material in PDF form on their website for free downloading. This includes a lot of FR material but only a little Greyhawk stuff.

I would love to see more of the old original Greyhawk material on there. So how can we get them to put up some top notch stuff, like the Greyhawk Wars boxed set in pdf form etc?

It seems unlikely that they'll start giving this stuff away, when they're selling it on svgames.com. (But I wish they would.)

I didn't know about them. I guess I learned something new.

Well at least all the stuff is still in circulation.

There is also a lot of Greyhawk information in a similar area to that of the FR PDF's but rather in text files.

One of the available files is the entire text from the Greyhawk Wars boxed set (not the game).

I believe these files are also mirrored on Canonfire (and much easier to find, I might add).

Oh, and though I don't support piracy... there are better quality PDF's elsewhere than SV Games. Many of the SV scans leave a lot to be desired including crooked scans, text cut off and thus lost, pages missing, poor gamma settings and blurred images. If they're going to charge for a product, then they should bloody well do it properly.

Ya-huh. I recently purchased a couple of .pdf files from sv games and found lots of crooked pages (still readable but annoying) and a few pages where text was cut off. As you say, if I pay with non-crooked money, I would like a non-crooked product.

On the subject of pdf's:

I don't buy Dungeon but I do buy Dragon magazine. So now I miss out on Living Greyhawk Journal. I wonder if anyone could be talked into producing Living Greyhawk Journal in pdf for a few bucks? Hmmm. New thread.

Some of the articles are already freely available from the wizard's site, in the LG section.

And as a fellow Aussie I totally understand the reluctance to fork out $17 or so dollars for a Dungeon magazine, however having said that, I do so every so often on the simple basis that it supports Greyhawk and the sole surviving GH writers.

It was a dumb move, IMO, to throw LG into Dungeon, seeing as it's not even remotely related and the articles do not suit the format and there are TONS of people like you who buy Dragon but not Dungeon, but I guess Paizo and Erik will have to learn that the hard way.

Having said all that... there ARE copies of the just the LG online... somewhere... but piracy is BAD!

I've purchased a few of the pdf formats from RPGnow.com. They appeared to be in perfect order. A friend of mine as actually gotten out of print material from a site called half.com. I think thats what he said not sure. But he did purchase a Tome of Magic book for $6.00 dollars. Not bad considering it's out of print and originally went for $20.00 dollars.

So if you don't like SV games then try someone else. Besides SV games makes it very difficult to download their products. They also have very sloppy content.

A site that is owned by eBay. Not sure of the difference, though I think it's kind of an online flea market, rather than an online auction site.
