I was wondering what sourcebooks were available for the setting. I've read the ones with the Justicar and watched the Scourge of Worlds, but haven't seen any sourcebooks for Greyhawk in the releases I've been reading for the last year. Are there any available? I love the older, war torn setting a lot better than the seemingly more advanced and over-developed setting of Faerun.

Right now, the best you can do is find information on the Internet, keep up with the Living Greyhawk Journal articles in Dungeon magazine, and try to pick up the older materials wherever you can find them.

If you want to see more new materials, let WotC know about it. There's a thread out there somewhere about a letter-writing campaign. (If it's not on this board, then it's on the Future Releases board.) Also, I don't think it hurts to add posts on these boards to the effect that you'd like to see some new releases. I can't beleive that WotC is totally oblivious to what gets posted here (and I'm not talking about the Wiz_O's).

Erik Mona said long ago that he was the only employee of WoTC that read the threads in this file...that he knew of. (Besides the Wizos.)

This means that for all intents and purposes this file is for the fans and not the R&D Department at WoTC.

At one time, I wished that this would change.....now...I just reminisce.

And technically he isn't an employee of WotC...

Does Erik work for Paizo now then?

Um...right...forgot that technically he was a Dragon Mag staffer...which now makes him a Paizo employee. Which means that NO ONE at WoTC could be considered the champion of GH.

He's fighting a guerilla war, you might say.

The ones with the Justicar are novels, not sourcebooks. If you are talking about novels, there are some others. I just picked up a copy of 'Tomb Of Horrors' myself.

Well, pending further evidence to the contrary, I stand corrected. But how can WotC ignore these boards as a barometer of the fanbase? Maybe they don't cruise the Greyhawk board, but wouldn't you think they would at least peruse the Future Releases board? When they're dreaming up what to release next, wouldn't you think they'd go look at what fans are asking for? (Unless they really don't care what we want . . .)

Their business plan is based on not caring what current customers want or care about. So why should they read these boards? Until they change that basic plan, we are all best off believing they view the release schedule as an exercise in self-indulgence.

I asked a question about Greyahwk sourcebooks at Canonfire! last month. Chatdemon supplied an awesome answer. Check out the threadHERE.

As noted above, really good, up-to-date resources are the LGG by Mr. Mona and the Journal entry in Dungeon Magazine.

It seems like homebrew will be the best we get, for now...

Sorry Mr. VanderMeer, I wasn't meaning that the novels were sourcebooks, I was thinking faster than my typing. Thanks for the responses though. I guess I'm just gonna pick up the Living Greyhawk and the gazeteer. I'll also keep an eye out for those living grewhawk articles in dragon.

*cough*cough*

They're hardly the same... the folio is 32 pages and the boxed set is like 140...
