I am sure, perhaps, that this subject might have been addressed somewhere else. Unfortunately, I don't have the wherewithal to find it, at the moment.

If someone could help me in finding references to or even complete information of the Oath and the Measure, I would be grateful. I understand it might have been modified a bit since Gunthar's death, and Sturm's trial, etc. Anything to help with that would be great.

In my Dragonlance gaming group there is a squire of the Knights of Solamnia. I do not own or know where to find "official" information for the Measure (etc.), and would dislike making something up when it would be unnecessary. For the meantime, I've been ruling things as a strict Lawful Good philosophy might rule.

(In particular, the squire considered a coup de grace on a foe -- a brute, specifically -- but I ruled that as against the Measure for a knight. To me, that is a helpless foe, being dishonorable for a knight to do, no matter the practicality of it. Other such things have come up or may come up.)

There isn't an actual Measure out there, but you can piece the basics together from Dragonlance Adventures, Heroes of Steel, and various other gaming resources. Hopefully that helps a bit!

I addressed this a month or two ago. The Oath is simply Est Sularus Oth Mithas, My Honor is My Life. The Measure, however, consists of thirty-seven 300 page volumes. Too expansive for a gaming resource. The basics of the Measure and how it applies to each branch of the knighthood is addressed in the Dragonlance Campaign Setting, which has been out now for a few months. Also, some parts of The Measure are addressed in various novels, such as respect a dying man's wishes, and do not travel in disguise. Many ideas, that are not addressed that may come up, you can get from the real-world's counterpart of The Measure, Chivalry. A good website for this is www.chronique.com which I have used before to gets some basic ideas laid down. I hope this helps.
