Ok I'm gearing up to start my campaign in the near future, current DM still running his campaign. But I'd like some feedback on your thoughts.

I'm setting this campaign many years after the return of the gods, so the High Sorcery is picking up more people and things are starting to settle back to normal.

Players start off near Palanthas, they'll guard a caravan to Palanthas. Of course the caravan will get jumped by raiders (Hobgoblins). Once they reach Palanthas they'll be hired by the caravan's owner to hunt down these raiders

After hunting down the raiders they'll discover that the hobgoblins are working with a cult. The clues will lead them to a cave a few miles out of town, more goblins and the Rogue Wizard Azeroth (Very high CR). Just as they reach Azeroth his spell concentration is broken by one of his helpers and the spell backfires. Azeroth disappears and the PCs are knocked unconsious for a few hours (nothing happens to them). The place is a reck. They discover clues that Azeroth was working on a spell to create a new plane. Magic seems to wane for a day.

The PCs go to the Tower of HS (atleast one will be a wizard) and present their findings and one takes the test. The Wizards research and realize that a planar rift has been created and could lead to massive problems. The Players are sent on a quest to find Azeroth, first heading back to the caves for overlooked clues.
They find clues and track down the hobgoblin who was helping Azeroth, if paid well he talks, he took and sold a staff that Azeroth had which now the Players need. He gives them information about the buyer, turns out to be caravan owner.

Shadows of unknow creatures start appearing and mysterious things start to occur. Unexplained disappearances, murders, and odd thefts. The Knights of Takhitis (yes she's still dead), mobilize and lay seige on the first few towns that are experiencing these occurances. The Knights are lead by a "visionary" that has foreseen the return of Takhitis to her full power. But first order of business is to destroy these "shadows". Obviously the players are caught in the middle of all of this.

The shadows reveal themselves as the Khen-zai (Ethergaunts from the Field Folio, except I made them Psionic casters instead of magic casters and they're coming from a plane other than the Etherplane). The Khen-zai are working their way into Krynn via the planar rift. Currently few in numbers, they still are a massive threat. The Khen-zai escalate their hit and runs against the people of Krynn, murdering, abducting, and theft. The Players are the initial people to find out what the shadows are

Up until now the players are unable to find the caravan owner until they stop home (near Palanthas). Another caravan was raided, but this time by draconians. Owner is dead, but they players find the what the draconians didn't, the staff. The draconians were sent by the "visionary" to obtain the staff, it's needed to bring back takihitis. The draconians ambush and pursue the players. Players take staff back to the Tower of HS.

The wizards were able to deduce Azeroth's location, the players are sent to Ravenloft (unexpectedly) by the wizards to find Azeroth. Azeroth was left knocked out when he was transported to Ravenloft. He was picked up by some ghouls and carried back to their master (a Vampire). They have break/sneak into the Vampire's manor to take Azeroth back. Once they have Azeroth they have to return near to their original arrival spot and the High Sorcerors will pull them back. Azeroth is killed on the way back but the players manage to get his backpack which contains enough information in notes for the High Sorcerors.

Upon returning the players are informed that new dragons are invading their world (Gem Dragons) and stirring up trouble with both the dragons of good and evil. To make matters worse the Knights of Solamnia are crusading against the Knights of Takihitis.
The wizards start work on re-reversing the rift and the players head home for some rest.

On the way home the players are met by a very wounded Knight of Takihitis, in no position to fight, nearly dead he tells them of the "Visionary" is not what she pretends to be. The party is then jumped by a band of Knight's of Takihitis who were sent after the wounded knight. The Knights attack the players and try to kill the wounded knight. Players search the knights and find clues that the "Visionary" is set to arrive at a camp near the grave of Takihitis. One of the High Sorcerors will teleport to the players and confirm what they have learned, however the High Sorcerors do not know who or what is the "Visionary". They give the players an item to reveil the "Visionary's" true indentity if they can get within 15 feet. Fun fun

The players reach the base camp and scout out the area.
A few days later the "Visionary" arrives. The players will sneak/break in but are captured and imprisioned until after the ritual. The players most likely escape only to see the end of the ritual where the "Visionary" drops to the ground and the body of Takhitis rises. Unfortunatly the players are re-capatured and brought back to Takihiti's tent.

As Takihitis is talking to the players the Solamnic Knights arrive and attack the encampment. The players "hopefully" take advantage of the situation and use the device given to them by the High Sorcerors. Takhitis is expoed as a Khen-Zai Archpsion and her 4 elite bodyguard as Khen-Zai as well. The Ken-zai attack the players and battle ensues.

Of course, as the Archpsion is killed 2 Knights of both sides enter the tent and learn of Krynn's deception. The knights, confused, call a momentary truce and both sides leave. The players take the bodies to the tower of HS and the rift is sealed.

The players retire. I realize that this is alot of writing, and I infact missed a few points I'm sure, but what do you guys think?
I felt that I needed some sort of "epic" style adventure to properly run a campaign for dragonlance.

What I have should run the characters from about level 1 to atleast epic level 23.

Thanks for your feedback!

:OMG!

Now THAT is an ambitious project. I'll probably borrow little pieces.

Now, of important note: Takhisis. Not Takhitis. That's just for starters though:D

How are they going to get to Ravenloft? Also, when they are in Ravenloft you have to play it right. Ravenloft isn't just a new area of krynn. Ravenloft is a land of dread and terror, its a demiplane of gothic terror, and horrors unimagineable. ou have to chill them to the bone. TO THE BONE!

I realized I typoed, but couldn't remember the correct spelling.
I'm away from my notes.

Thanks for the feedback.

The High Sorcerors will use a variation of a plane travel type spell to send the players to Ravenloft. The players have never really been in Ravenloft, but I have plenty thoughts to seriously cause fear and fright with the players.

Not really, other than this: Ravenloft is still supposed to be a dead end for all who get there. To impress upon your players the seriousness of this matter, maybe the PCs have a window of time. After the window expires, they're stuck in Ravenloft.

Of course, that's only an option if you don't mind playing a Ravenloft campaign or if they don't mind making new characters, in case something bad happens. :D

Good idea.
I'll send the players to Ravenloft but give them a window of 1 week. If they are unable get back in time they're only other option is to kill the Dark Lord of that domain.

I'll be making up a domain, it's Dark Lord will be powerfull, but not as powerful as your average Dark Lord.

The Ravenloft campaign book says that when a domain looses it's Dark Lord it's either absorbed into another domain or resolves back to whence it came.

I could just have it be a city that used to be in Krynn, so they atleast have two options, hurry in and hurry out, or stay for the fight of their lives.

If you want to go with a Krynn-like domain in Ravenloft, I'd definitely suggest using Sithicus. It's still around, but the Dark Lord is unknown to most residents.
