I have a question about Centar druids, do they have to worship the gods? I know that in DLCS they say druids have to choose from one of the nature gods, but it also says under the centar part that they ar animistic( i think thats the right wourd) and they held belife in spirits. i always found nature based druids more intresting then god based.. even though that whole sentence kinda goes against druids being that they are nature based.......

Well enough with the babaling, what do you think.

Centaur druids worship Chislev in their own way, through a reverence of nature and the spirits within it. Chislev allows her druids to acknowledge her in many ways and with many faces, so there's never actually been a problem there.

During the years when Chislev was gone from Krynn, after the Chaos War, centaurs would have relied on mysticism instead of druidic traditions. Prior to the War of the Lance, however, it's unlikely that there were many spellcasting druids in the centaur tribes.

Cheers,
Cam

In the 3rd book of the defenders of magic trilgoy, the nephew of the hero of the books (Bram Di-thon if I'm not mistaken) becames a druid, worshiping Chislev through nature.

Well there are the Skorinoi (I think I spelled that right) that are a group of Chaos-touched centaurs and have turned their back on the Forestmaster and Chislev.

But really...in DL3e, the Druids really need to worship a god. Otherwise they'll have to be a mystic or a mystic shamman. But Druids have to worship Habbakuk, Chislev, or Zeboim.

Nope - Habbakuk, Chislev or Zeboim.

Though I would maybe allow Branchala, Zivilyn and Morgion as back-ups. Branchala isn't a druid god, he's a bard and music god, despite the fact that in The Citadel one of his clerics seems very druidic indeed.

Cheers,
Cam

Does anybody justify Mounted Combat on a Centaur? I mean, I do, but then you are fully at the liberty of the Centaur character.

Oh man...don't get me started on that again. LOL!

There's an old thread from when the DLCS came out (so late-July early-August) about the Centaur not getting the bonuses of a man on horseback. Very long and drawn out.

That was on here, wasn't it Cam? Or were we debating that on the DL-L?

I remember it on here, as I may be one of the few who never checks out the DL-L. Various technicalities like a man being on higher ground vs. a centaur just being there, centaurs not being able to use the Mounted feats since they're not riding anything, etc.

Yes, I remember that thread about mounted combat bonuses for Centaurs and this is the only DL forum I read aside from DLAdventures.

I think Kalanth's question is asking if there are bonuses if someone is riding the Centaur. That's how I interpreted "but then you are fully at the liberty of the Centaur character."

I could be mistaken though.

Very true. There are some nasty synergies for someone who fights atop a centaur. Mounted Combat lets you block one hit to the centaur per round on a Ride check, etc.

I think you're right.

My bad.
