Hey everybody, I was a Clueless till very recently and I've liked PS so much my player and I are now playing Modron March/ Dead Gods.

Can anybody help me convert the 2e "Visage" (those undead Tana`ri) to 3e.
Please excuse my still Clueless maners :D

Sure thing. I'd love to help. Why don't you post your thoughts, or better yet, what you think the conversion should be on this board, and we'll take it from there?

You can find guidlines for creating a monster in the revised monster manual, or take an existing monster and work from there.

Thanks. When I have time I'll try, the Stats and attacks don't bother me much, is specially the ability they have to Morph the world their enemies percive, it's kind of weir and I don't know how to convert it.

it doesn't have to be hard. I sugest using a spell as the basis, then working from there. Persistent image or major image would probably be a good starting point. Then calculate the DC using the formula 1/2*hd + charisma modifier (as this is a spell-like ability).

The hardest part imo is figuring out the CR.

how about this?
take a babau or a shadow fiend or a hezrou or even a galbarezu, add the corpse creature template from book of vile darkness, i think, then change a few special and spell like abilities to all those special quirks in the visages that made them all that lovely...and there you have a custom made visage!

may be the corpse creature template ain't that good for a visage...they are shadowy creatures after all, why not use the shadow creature template from manual of the planes, or just make them corpse creatures with the inmaterial subtype...i´ll look into that, give me a couple of days and i'll post some of the stuff i've been talking about

How about using the aspect of Orcus creature in the MHB and adding the dhadow creature template? Swap the special abilities and the appearance around a bit, and drop the mace as their weapons in favor of claws. I figure that would probably be the closest we could get to what they would be, I'm currently running Dead Gods right now, and am coming up to the visages so I'll let you know how that runs.

Also as for their power:

Reality Warp (Su) A visage can warp the perceptions of any creature it interects with as per the spells Mirage Arcana and Major Image. Upon interacting in a meaningful way with the environments the subjects of these effects are allowed a saving throw to disbelieve them. Otherwise no saving throw is allowed.

What do you guys think?

MHB? What is that? Also, i found this nice monster in the MotP, a shadow, the Ecalypse, just add the Lucidity control Special Attack...do you remember a dragon a couple years ago where the silicon sorcery talked about a PS2 game, ICO, and they gave a template to create incorporeal undead? that might work too, must search for it.

It's the Miniatures Handbook. They havfe aspects of all of the Archfiends, which are powerd down versions of them, that can aftually be beaten by a party of adventurers.

I'm curious as to any one's responce on my Special ability, does it work?
