Reading thru the old posts I notice people talking about a Dragon with Planescape Prestige Classes. Anyone know which Dragon this was? Thanks.

off the top of my head it was issue 197, the september 2001 issue.
It had 5 planar presige classes, for the athar, doomguard, sensate, xaositec, and I can't recall the last one. dustmen? harmonium? anarch?

bah... I'll have to go look it up.

Wouldnt be 197 as that is 1993 issue. No 3e then. Is it 297 perhaps?

Yes, it's essentially bragging, but we writers are insecure and need constant reassurance that we are wonderful. Solomani, I am the author of the "Fractious Factions" article in Dragon #287, and while I can't give you those prestige classes because I no longer own the rights, I can direct you to the other prestige classes that were cut from the article due to space. You can find them here.

Great, thanks WiZ. I read the classes. Pretty cool. I did manage to get my hands on the Dragon via EBAY. I will add it to my Planescape collection.

I am surprised they let you publish non-core stuff in Dragon.

It was a case of sending in a query for the article at just the right time...unknown to me, the 3E Manual of the Planes was in the works, and they wanted something planar to tie in to its release.

For more planar goodness, check out my article on a plane-spanning guild, "Open Skies: The Silver Strike Guild," in Dragon #307, and my upcoming article in Dragon #314, "The Ecology of the Salamander."

Excellent article, WizO! One of my favorites in the past couple of years! :D

Thanks for the downloads! I was always wondering what your concepts of the other faction members had been.

Thank you very much. I try to incorporate as much planar goodness as I can into my articles, because I love Planescape so much. While my "Dragonscales" article in Dragon #308 doesn't have anything planar ( ) all the others do.

On a personal note, I can't wait to see what the Planescape article in Dragon #315 is all about -- I wish I'd written it! :D
