Hello gamers,

I just purchased my 3e RL DM screen and I wanted to know if I can still use it with the 3.5 upgraded version of RL?

Generally yes. A few skills changed & a few feats changed (no more innuendo & wilderness Lore became survival again). But I don't think any of the DCs to do things did. I'll go take a look at some point and come back with a more detailed answer.

[takes the GM screen off the shelf and thumbs through it]

I think the changes to Innuendo and Wilderness Lore are the only things. All else is the same.

Personally, while it's pretty enough I'll probably end up making my own GM screen when the time comes, as there will probably be notes and tables I'll want that aren't on there (I don't really need the divine domains for instance-- those'll be in the writeups of the cleric characters).

It can be used. 3.5 is not as different as people try to make it out to be. It is basically 3e with clarifications.

Probably as the Ravenloft screen is mostly useless filler anyway. I was heavily dissapointed by its lack of useful charts and information.
The charts from the Campain setting were nice to have handy but sicne it didn't include ANY non-Ravenloft tables or information I had to use a second screen so I didn't have to flip through books constantly.

Now I just put the Ravenloft screen in front of this one I got free from a Dragon mag to keep the atmophere.

The 2e RavenLoft screen was very helpful. I wonder what is going on with 3e? All look no filler?

For the most part, no-- the books are generally full of crunchy goodness (especially the Gazetteers). I think the GM screen, like Secrets of the Dread Realms, was a bit of a misstep.

Everyone has their opinions. I guess that was yours. The gazette was ok. But as far as the other books.....I just upgrade 2e stuff.

Since SotDR is being shuffled out from the Gazetteers I'm hoping they re-do the Screen for 3.5. I'm sure they'll do waaaay better the second time round. Fingers crossed.
