Most of the changes they made were not needed. I guess they were done for legal reasons. I am not too versed on what went on between s&s and the wizO's.

A more correct answer would be "Yes, they still exist, but they haven't been detailed yet." There are only two domains from 2E that no longer exist as far as I know: Tovag (or whatever Kas' domain was called) and Cavitius.

What happened to those 2 domains?

Then they don't formally exist.

Torvag and Cavitus were destroyed when Vecna used them to make a time/space bridge to the heart of Sigil of the Planescape campaign as part of his bid to become the "Big Kahuna" of all the planes. Vecna pulled this off by learning the secretes of the dark powers which in turn gave him power over them.

PS - I believe the Kargatane are begining work on something involving Dr. Ilhausen and the nightmare lands.

What adventure did this happen in?

He's referring to the adventure Die Vecna Die, but I don't know if it's explicitly stated in that adventure that those domains were destroyed. I think it was just inferred.

Either way, you can keep them if you want, discard them if you don't.

LOL. I hear that, dunny (do you like Mobb Deep?)

When you DO get the spare cash, I highly recommend DoD. Yeah it's kinda old, yeah it's 2E, but screw it. It's still the best campaign setting book I've seen. Better than the 3E one in my opinion.

I am hoping that the Nightmare Lands will be outlined in 3e someday, but frankly the rules for dream effects are going to need *heavy* revision to take into account the greater use of skills in 3e vs. 2nd edition.

2e or 3e still RAVENLOFT. That is all I care about... I convert the 2e to 3e anyway.

Yes, definitely. The first RL book I bought and never disappointed me. Ok, at the time, it didn't tell me everything I wanted to know, but still very good.
And later I bought RL 3E and I think it is inferior. Of course this is a matter of taste, but I didn't like the art in 3E and that makes a big difference to me.

Before anyone beings chastising me for preferring one book over another for the art, that's not what I meant. I said that is just one of the reasons, but in whole, DoD quality was better.

well There artwork, but what mostly disapoints me of RL d20 is the lack of Darklord information. I know this was explained as a (We needed optimum space and you can have the Darklords in a futur realise) but still It disapointed me. as a more general comentairy on D20 and 3ed books in the second ed there where stories histories, habitats and a bunch of mini-stories in the books now it seems there's game stat after stat after stat.

I personally think that RL lost some of its feel in 3e.
