Hey all -- As some of you know, I'm working on stats for the Heroes of the Lance. When it came to Goldmoon and Laurana, I referenced the Age of Mortals book to ensure that they could "grow into" their character. However, this made me realize that their stats aren't quite correct. Goldmoon seems to be missing skills, spells, saving throws, and equipment. She is also missing age modifiers (her youth was restored but she still lived those years and should retain the Int/Wis/Cha benefits). Therefore, I decided to create Goldmoon Redux. This is simply my opinion on her true stats, as an extrapolation from the info listed in the Age of Mortals. Let me know what you think, and enjoy!

ah, the blessedness of errata-needing text galore... I'm very happy with DLCS and AoM, but there's alot of wrong text, especially in AoM, that clearly needs an errata. Remember, Laurana's also missing her Abilities...

Where have all here levels she had priest of Mishakel during the war of the lance gone to? Since it was impossible to be a mystic during that time, or is this another persona of goldmoon wich has nothing to do with the old one? (I have not read any of the 5th age and newer books).

I am playing the old 5th level cleric war of the lance version now as an NPC (with the stats from the 1ed adventure DL1 Dragons of Despair), since none of my players wanted to play her. (Playing DL1 - DL10 with 3.5 rules now, the players are almost ready to confront Onyx )

Goldmoon's stats do not reflect cleric levels as she has exchanged her cleric levels for mystic levels, as per the rules on "Changing Focus" in the DLCS. Note that Palin Majere also does the same thing, and his wizard levels are exchanged for sorcerer levels.

Small note: Goldmoon would not be able to wear both an Amulet of Health and a Periapt of Wisdom at the same time, as they take up the same magic item slot.

If she had the extra item slot feat (I think it is called), she could, but as is, in either this write up and the one in AoM, she can't. unless the items were specially crafted, like the purple dragon and command rings from FR (Cormyr).

Doh... forgot about that (and I pulled that off the Goldmoon in AoM too). Fixed.

I think that they need an errata for AoM, there are many mistakes in the book.

When will we be seeing stats for the other characters from the War of the Lance? Or do you not plan on posting them on this board?

I would be very interested to see what system you work out for Raistlin's curse, if any. When I DM'd the War of the Lance, I just used the curse as a role-playing toll rather than giving it a game effect.

IMHO one is needed much more for the DLCS, the AOM actually has pretty good editing in comparison.
Plus the DLCS is the base rulebook, and so would tend to be more important.

Unfortunately I doubt we will ever see any, and Soverign Press has as yet not commented.
One can hope though...

When finished with the pre-Chronicles stats on the Heroes, I'll be posting them to the Dragonlance website - hopefully within the next 2-3 days. Work & overtime come first. :D As for Raistlin, giving his curse a game effect would be highly subjective, so rest assured that his curse has no discernible game effect.

As for as I'm aware Shugi is doing stats for all the HoTL from various time periods.
As far as official stats, the best we can hope for is to see them with the War of The Lance sourcebook in 2004.

I imagine the rules for it would be almost exactly as that set forth for the Curse of the Magi as detailed in the DLCS, perhaps a bit more severe but that's debateable.
