The title explains it all really. Just trying to get some creative juices flowing. So, have at it. It doesn't necessarily have to be just one line, but try to keep it short, and try to tie it to ravenloft some way or other.

Here goes:

- A strange mist has settled over the town of Pont-a-Museau, Richemulot. Strange forms has been seen in the mist, and the rats are acting skitterish and frightened.

- Strange shadows has been observed moving in the ruins of Nedragaard Keep. The elves claim it is the Black Rose returned, but is that so?

- A strange child is born in Hazlan to pure rashemani parents. It is completely hairless, and has birthmarks in the shape of Mulan ritual tattoos. It is adopted by Hazliks Mage-school as a promising prodigee...

- A travelling clown circus has been turned into zombies by a cursed mechanical pipe organ and the dead clowns are terrorizing a small seaside village in Mordent.

(Works best with a CD with a maniacal and happy fairground mechanical organ music set to a repeat)

People have been disappearing from the lakeside village of Dunharrow, and ghouls have been sighted near an underground tunnel leading into the lake's aquafer. What are the undead up to, and what horror could be strong enough to organize such creatures?

A merchant has been using a straw golem to discourage potential concurrence. Little did he expect the creature would break free from his control...

It looks like a vampire plagues the region. Many victims have been drained of blood, and several young women have dissapeared. As they arrive at the vampire's castle in the mountains, the PCs find that the monster has guests, dozens of vampires who have arrived for a celebration. Can the PCs (now part of the menu) escape with their lives?

A famous scientist accindentally turns himself into a weregorilla. The beast, stronger in will than the man, takes over the control of both shapes, and sets to spread the disease to all the scientist's friends and family.

Strange monsters appear at night to prawl the streets of an old city. The source of the problem lies inside an orphan house, where a wizard has decided to solve the problem of the children's recurring nightmares by extracting them from their minds - litterally.

The region is invaded by grave scarabs. A mysterious stranger with a hidden face comes to town and claims he can stop the menace... for a big price. Does the stranger truly have that power? Has he something to do with the menace in the first place?

Strange lights and sounds have manifested in the region. A small group of youngsters who secretly try their hand at spiritism are cause to that. Problem is, the teens may have summoned something more terrible than mere tricks of light.

The region seems overcome with a pack of small humanoid monsters. The villagers, however, forbid the PCs to get involved. The village suffers under a curse (provoked by the villagers' past evil actions) which caused all their children to be transformed into hideous monstriosities.

During a sea voyage, the PCs, with a handful of mates, escape from a sunken ship to cimb aboard of a dark, seemingly abandoned vessel. The survivors begin to dissapear, one by one...

The city museum has become a hunting ground for a pack of hungry mimics.

The PCs take shelter in a residence where an alchemist has recently created a clay golem. Originally a mere foot in size, the creature feeds on blood, becoming bigger and stronger with every new kill...

While visiting Paridon, the PCs are caught in the middle of a "gang war" between the dopplegangers and the mariketh.

(Yes, I did indeed read and enjoy Shadow of the Knife, why do you ask? ;) )

The Falkovnian Ministry of Science, in conjunction with the Ministry of Intelligence, has created a new breed of warrior in the attempt to rectify the losses attributed to the Dead Man's Campaign. These achemical warriors are reported to be without souls...so that the forces of Darkon cannot raise them when they fall in battle in the next planned invasion.

Eager to please their tyrannical ruler, these two ministries are quick to put these elite Talons out in the field, so that they can be properly tested before the next campaign begins to roll out.

Six bloodthirsty warriors are scattered to the winds, to wreak havoc on those domains that have recently been blacklisted by Falkovnia, and the bloody trail that will inevitably follow is the first stage of Falkovnia's newest plans for world dominance...

Here are a few I've been piecing together...

A famous violin is stolen from its current owner, who desperately wants it back - intact. Unknown to the thief (or the PCs at first), the violinist is a spy, and the violin contains valuable state secrets.

The PCs inadvertently interrupt a sacred rite and one of them is injured. The holy man leading the ritual heals the PC, but there are complications. His people believe that sickness and hurt are caused by evil, and a healer's duty is to accept that evil on behalf of his people. The healer has accepted too much evil... and must be put to death.

An elderly alchemist asks the party's aid to find his runaway grandson, a simpleton. When the party discovers the boy, they find him to be astute and clever, if somewhat uneducated. The child is actually an alchemical construct for the old man to use as a vessel for his spirit in a transference ritual.

An enemy of the PCs leaves an evil artifact in their possession, and now they must choose between taking it, and possibly becoming corrupted by its power, or leaving it behind for just anyone to find.

Someone is killing the king's elite guardsmen and sending pieces of them to the palace. The killer is a young woman raped by the crown prince a number of years ago, now waging a silent war of retribution against the royal family - most of whom know nothing.

The PCs find a very old woman living in a ramshackle cabin by a deep lake. She claims to be waiting for her friend to come back, though the friend dived to the bottom of the lake years ago and has never resurfaced. Each night, the old woman dreams of her friend, and "knows" that she still lives.
