Dragonlance.com has just posted an art gallery for Age of Mortals.

Thanks to Paladin for his hard work in getting that posted.

Very nice. :D

Now how about a web enhancement?

Too much Elmore for my taste.

And the dragon overlords... Ugh...

Even the DLCS had better artwork.

But that's just my opinion.

There were some good ones, too.

And I see they still have the foot/hoof problem with the minotaurs. :D

Okay, that's it. You don't get any pie. Dragonhelm, put this guy on the "no pie" list.

Cheers,

But I really like pie.

I don't have the book yet, so I'm assuming those dragons are indeed the dragon overlords. In that case, Beryl and Skie are of the same dragon variety, they're just painted with different colors.

And why does the Solamnic Auxuliary Mage have a glowing eye? It's kinda freakin' me out.

But Elmore's Palin looks like Raistlin. And not because of the gray hair, but because of the golden skin.

The mariner pic is simply an odd Cut/Paste thing. That's Flint over there on the left, ya know?

That kagonesti chick (Feril?) just looks plain weird.

There are some really good ones too, like the one with Razor and Mirror (I'm assuming that's his name). That's a great one. And the guy healing the fox is pretty good, too. And the magic items are okay, I guess.

I know I sound like a complete whiner. :D

Yup ya do! ;)

I like the art by Jason A Eagle nice to see some of his art in a book (first time for me).

The portrait of Mina blew me away!! I can understand why Silvanoshei became all jelly-like.

The Ogre Titan looks nasty! (in a good way :D) and Sargonnas is portrayed kinda like I always imagined him...an angry looking minotaur

There were bad things as well...the Solamnic Auxiliary mage was...well disappointing as was the minotaur (Galdar?) on page 176

Actually, it kinda makes sense. Palin is raist's nephew, and people could see the resemblance.

and the bad thing is? I love the pic (think that chick is very... um.... well drawn. hehe).

I like the one with her standing by Targonne better. She looks ALOT more attractive in that one.

Agreed. I thougth it had waay too much hair to be Mina. And she's too tall.

I'm okay with them resembling each other, but I'm quite sure Palin never had golden skin.

He doesn't. Both Palin and Dalamar have been given the same skin tone in that picture, and it isn't gold.

Cheers,
Cam

Well, maybe it's just me. They both do have sort of yellowish skin, tho.

They should've had more Stawicki in the book. At least they should've got him to do the dragons.

Yeah, it would have been nice to have more work from certain artists. Unfortunately, their time is often very limited. Matt Stawicki seems to be in a constant state of work, producing covers for the re-released Preludes novels for example. The artists that Chris chose for the Age of Mortals were able to produce quality work in the time required, which is pretty much all that you can ask for.

Cheers,
Cam
