Has Lord SOth been reprinted in 3.5 or 3rd edition of Dragonlance?

Let's say that he hasn't been posted to the website... but the "unofficial" version will be fairly soon...

Isn't Soth the heinous evil guy that eventually ended up in Ravenloft? He ever get back to Krynn?

Yup he did, just to get Tak to drop Dargaard Keep on his head. And if you're going by Tracy fits (still don't know why he made such a huge deal about it), Soth never went to Ravenloft, he just kinda... was there for a while, doing nothing, having nothing done to him, just kinda... there, you know?

Actually, I think Tracy rocks... although Margaret rocks more. <*whistles innocently*>

Just kidding. I loved the 'rewrite' of the ending of DoSF. I love Margaret's Raistlin stories. Which I like more usually varies from time to time.

Once Dragons of Summer Flame hit the shelves (this is where we learned, in print, that Soth was still on Krynn) I always assumed that the mists of Ravenloft duplicated (or cloned) Lord Soth as they wanted this creature of evil in their demi-plane but were unable to remove him from Krynn due to his curse (which was god born after all). Just in case you wanted a way to explain it to your PCs. But, according to DL material, Soth never left Krynn.

Though, in the newest books, he does seem to be having a bad day. ;)

Actually, no DL material has _explicitly_ commented on Soth's departure one way or the other. There's been a reference or two that suggests Dargaard Keep was empty between _Legends_ and DoSF, and a bit or two of folklore that suggests otherwise, but the only DL item to deal with Soth's whereabouts between that point is the "Dargaard Keep" adventure in DL16, which was declared 'noncanon' over a decade ago.

And of course Death Knights of Krynn.

I _almost_ mentioned that, but I wasn't counting spinoffs. Still, as was pointed out to me, Soth has had three major DL appearances post-_Legends_--DL16, DKoK, and DoaVM--and they all seem to get rid of him one way or the other.

I think Lord Ausric should be looking over his shoulder. :-)

Post-Legends? He was a very central character in the Legends trilogy. As you may remember, he killed Tanis(well, not really, it was an alternate future)

Right. And thus, post-Legends (i.e. After Legends)

Takhisis obliterated him in the War of Souls, so I'm 99% sure he's dead. Though you never can tell with Dragonlance and it's "Obscure death" rule.

Considering the descriptions of Soth's demise in DoVM, I think it's safe to say that he's not coming back. He went 'squish'. ;)

Now why in the world would Chemosh (god of the dead and undead) not "resurrect" his most prominent and shining example of "unlife" when the deity that destroyed him is no longer around to prevent the new "life" of a legend.
