I have a question, this might be in another thread, but i haven't come across it..
Is Greyhawk going to another d20 publisher?? I heard a rumour that it is being taken over by another company.. for new adventures and any sourcebooks that will come out? Is it true, or just some horrid rumour..
I mean I can not see WoTC giving it away..

Why duck and cover?

I think a lot of people, myself included, would welcome WotC licencing out the GH setting provided its to a quality publisher. At least we may see something happen with it.

I just can't see it happening as it may interfere with them using it as the core setting and it may destablilise the LG campaign.

Why duck and cover?

because i discovered a disturbing hard-core fanaticism amongst these role-playing worlds boards.

Where did you hear such a thing? Granted, Greyhawk rumors travel faster than a roommate on pizza, but something like this would have leaked and found its way to this board by now.

Then again, it's always possible. As others have said, I wouldn't mind seeing the setting prosper under a publisher that was ready to support it properly.

You must be thinking of other boards...

I haven't heard that particular rumour. And I'm fairly certain that the people who SHOULD be doing any such projects haven't heard any such rumour either.

Of course, that doesn't mean it's not true, but then Greyhawk fans have a tendancy to be like seives when it comes to witholding secrets like this, so if it's true, I'm sure we'll hear all about it very soon

I dont give a stuff who writes this material as long as its good. Clinging blindly to things in the past I'll leave to those happy to stay there.

I don't really see it happening but if it did there's a few folks I wouldn't mind seeing put out some modules.

And maybe a nice, shiney new box set or sourcebook for those of us who missed the good stuff from '80 and '83. That's not asking too much right? :D

Haven't heard anything about that actually happening. But I wouldn't mind if that's what WoTC was going to do. At best it is probably just a pondering by some WoTC executive's. Nothing official as of yet, but it could be quite possible.

I believe i heard it from the gaming circle from here in Halifax.. again this is just a rumour tho, and also the circles around here are vicious..lol..witty.. ;) I would also like Wotc try and do some adventures ofther than those base eight or whatever that first came out when 3ed came out..

That's the dream for a majority of non-LG gamers, but in truth the bulk of recent Greyhawk material is now being published in the Living Campaign, which has all sorts of modules and scenarios. One I heard of recently is Return to the Ghost Tower of Inverness, supposedly one of the better 'return to' modules out there.
