#1slider33Nov 20, 2003 18:45:58 | What would a chromatic dragon's (or metallic) attitude toward a draconian be? I have a draconian player, whenever we encounter an evil dragon type what would the dragons disposition be? I'm not too familiar w/ the books, so I'm not really sure. I've heard that evil dragons hate the perverted spawn of their enemies, but is that still the same? Since the pc/dragon would likely converse, I want to be fair and perhaps parley, yet I don't want them to think they can just sweet talk an evil dragon into letting them go free. Can any of you experienced players/dm's out there give me some of your past experiences when talking to dragons? Because I am not very confident I would "play" a dragon very well...What are some cool things to do or say? I know dragons like treasure, and the different dragon types have different personalities, but I want an encounter to be enjoyable, yet challenging. Any suggestions? |

I don´t really know how evil dragons view draconians but I would assume that draconians are no different than other races...although they might be more inclined to become minions of evil dragons... Dracos don´t "worship" evil dragons...their religious focus was Takhisis. Now that she´s dead dracos are pretty much left to find their own way (Commander Kang and his regiment is a fine example of this) |

#5zombiegleemaxNov 20, 2003 21:26:59 | It's pretty well known that draconians revere evil dragons but if you read Doom Brigade pages 95-98 you will read that all dragons do not like them. What happens to one batch of eggs can always happen to another (any other). If you read Wayward Children from Tales Volume 1 you'll find that during the Wotl the metallic dragons made an attempt to reverse the magic on some draconians and failed miserably. Thus they burned, froze, and acidified every draconian present. If dragons could cry (the way Richard Knaak describes it) they would have while they did this particular event. In the end the red dragon would probably cook the draconian and save the others for entertainment, midnight snack, or anything along those lines. It takes some intense roleplaying, stick with the dragons alignment and you'll be fine (remember though all creatures of Krynn can choose their alignment). |
