I know i posted a topic about this a month or two ago, but is there any news of a splatbook that will have rules for Gnomish inventions in it? I have been sort of out of it for a while, due to RL reasons.

There are no plans at this time for a gnomish tinkering handbook. However, there are plans to have some expanded gnomish tinkering rules in a sourcebook sometime soon. I'm not sure on specifics as of yet.

Some people might remember (Dragonhelm especially) that I was working on this idea during the beginning of the year...there was some talk of it on the old forums.

However I eventually found myself with very little time to devote to the project, and aside form a few pages of notes, an odd PrC or three, and my interpretation of the Tinker Gnome race, nothing really became of it.

I have some free time coming to me just before the end of the year - mid-December to mid-January - so hopefully I can devote some of that time to working on this project...although I might need some help. Who would be interested?.

Suggested project name: Gnominomicon.

Okay, now off to bed with me, else I be a cranky Dragonhelm in the morrow.

There does exist a set of rules, hidden away somewhere, far from the light of day, of Gnomish Invention Creation rules. They were crafted many moons ago, refined under the careful testing of a skilled engineer, and submitted with much glee for publication.

Alas, they met the fate of Christopher Lee in Return of the King, and ended up on the cutting room floor....

But, there are rumors that bespeak of a time when this fabled manuscript will be resurrected, brought forth from the light and presented to the world at large... but only Jamie knows when that shall be ;)

Until such time as the Resurection, may i humbly present Sorcery and Steam by Fantasy Flight Games? With some modification their Artificier glass fits PERFECTLY with what a tinker gnome is. And by modification, I mean fluff modification only. The rules are awesome.

So, may the Tinker Gnome watch over you and guide your inventions to ever increasing complexitity until such time as the Resurection explains to us just how to do it.

Blessedly Yours,
Rosisha, high priest of Mount... Nevermind.
