Gawdammit! One of the side-benefits of regularly attending the GreyTalk chatroom is that I learn of little tidbits like this. I've known an Irongate article was in the works for at least a month now and have been busting at the seams wanting to tell everybody about it and then Erik goes and pips me at the post! Bastardiche! :D

I'm still not sure what I'm allowed to say about it and in truth, I only know rumours, but suffice to say it'll be a must-have issue, not to be missed as it will be HUGE!

Yes this must truly be a christmas miracle - something published on Irongate!!!

There has been so little said about this city and I have tried desperately to piece it together myself with limited success.

Will we finally learn what the mysterious heritage of Cobb Darg is? Mmmm. Greyhawk Dragon...

Some info on the local dwarven clans. A map of the city.... Details on major NPCs....must stop ... before ...cardiac arrest .....

Seriously I will be stoked to see such an article for this very exciting part (I like to think of it as my part) of the Greyhawk world. All my campaigns have been based there and a lot of the material I created was for use there. I recently retired my website which was named in its honour.

I have to say that I have pretty much given up on official Greyhawk stuff. All these endless debates about why it isn't being published and all the rest of it. Who needs it - I'd rather be gaming. If it comes out then I will be the first to buy it but I'm not going to waste my energy on debates.

I seriously hope someone is allowed to buy the rights to the world and then employs the current set of writers to do something with it. I really enjoy the current world / story / plot / timeline.

as much as this article is being pumped up, it better be worth it!!! Whjo care, I know I'm looking forward to it. As said, there is just not that much stuff out there relating to it. This should be a good one.

All praise this "peninsular" treatment!

As long as some of the things we have been talking about on greytalk see print. Then it should be worth a pickup! But one thing is most pertinent not to be revealed or else it would kill irongate forever. The Cobb Darg rumor's must continue to remain rumor's. If any part of this article states or reveals the true Cobb Darg to GH fans it will take away some of the ambiance that makes Irongate a wanted commodity.

The article will touch upon some theories, but there's no reason to close this loophole. Far better to let individual DMs make up their minds for themselves than to stick with one solution and ruin one of the setting's best (probably unintentional) mysteries.

Yeah I guess it would be a shame to have the mystery solved... hmm frustrating though it is. I suppose Greyhawkers each have their own opinion on Cobb Darg and I suppose that is the way it is going to stay.

Other things it would be cool to see would be:

- details on one or two important NPCs from Irongate and the surrounding areas - perhaps a 3.5e version of Elaine Mystica.

- some details on Irongate's current military forces, what types, numbers, what equipment

- details on local dwarven clans and their structure

- details on the organisation: United Artificers of Irongate

What a cool city.

Which Dungeon edition will this article appear in? Is that known yet?

Nope. We're still cobbling together the article, so it may be several months before it hits the stands.
